I know that feeling!
Here's another Friday fun fact:
Friday Fun Fact: The deepest point of the Earth's oceans is in the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean at 6.8 miles deep. In comparison, Mount Everest is only 5.5 miles high.
Interesting. Kinda.
Nice to see the crew all here today. Gives me a reason to smile
That's happy!
...am heading to PA this weekend to celebrate Mom's birthday with the family and to celebrate with my niece as she heads off to college! The countdown has begun... It's hard to believe. WHERE did the years go? Just 5 minutes ago she was a little girl seeing her first Broadway show with me...
Where are you going, my little one, little one,
Where are you going, my baby, my own?
Turn around and you're two,
Turn around and you're four,
Turn around and you're a young girl going out of my door.
Turn around, turn around,
Turn around and you're a young girl going out of my door...
Schmaltzfest!
Letting go of a hand,
That I've grown so accustomed to holding,
Letting go of that hand can be so hard.
Letting go of a hand,
That was there to protect and defend me.
Letting go of that hand,
Can be so hard.
There was bound to come a time,
I had to find my way,
Our time has come,
For letting go.
Moving on in my life,
There's so much about me I'm unsure of.
I must find my own way,
On my own.
You will always be with me,
I will always need your love
And it's so hard to let you go.
Even now, though we know,
Now my heart wants to hold on forever.
It's the hardest thing I know.
But now it's time, for letting go.
It's the hardest thing I know,
But now it's time, for letting go.
*wipes tear*
...our schmaltz-fest scared everyone away.
Time to run out and do errands!
Have fun Addy!

I'll join for a self-congratulatory drink. I just finished what I consider one of the best posters I've ever done, so yay for me.
Of course, now I'm waiting for all the (potentially idiotic) comments to come in, and once they do I'm sure I'll be back to drown my sorrows.

Congrats to Deet!
Hi/bye to Addy!
Mojito over here, Tink!
I'll share a straw with my BF, Boobs!
And finally....I'm so sorry, Girly. You must be reeling.
Awesome deet! I love and hate that feeling (achievement and waiting comments)
Missed addy ...
I'll have a club soda. My doctor finally put her foot down - no alcohol for me anymore, one of my new meds is really screwing with my liver. I also have to lose weight. I'm starting to turn yellow, and no one likes that.
*twirls girly carefully*
Oy, DD. Take care of yourself!
Thanks, DD, and what Shira said.
And Girly, I say get out and treat yourself to something fabulous.
(Not you, Shira. Girly.)
All is good ... just ironic that the very meds that keep one healthy in one way make you ill another.
So we've been dogsitting all week in a condo with A/C, and of course the weather has been chilly (in the 60s). Today we go back to our A/C-less apartment and temps go into the 90s this weekend. *sigh* Thankfully we have plans all weekend to be outdoors or in air conditioned rooms.
DD, go out and buy one of those windowless airconditioners...they work well. You can't survive in a non-airconditioned apartment with this weather!
*the cows bring lemonade in their raincoats and boots *
Boobs - our apt windows do not make a window unit feasible. The beauty of living in the NW is that it _usually_ cools off significantly at night, and it's not humid.
*pondering if I can throw any other "-ly" words in there*
Nice....no humidity! After living in Singapore I kind of got use to it though...well as much as a person can get use to it.
DD - I think Boobs was taking about one of those portable AC units that don't go into a window, but just sit in the room. We had one of those and it worked fine for two years, and then this summer it just went KAPUT.
Why is it that those things always crash at the worst time?
Good morning all. The first day back from vacation sucks!
Morning peeps! I agree Poddie, although I haven't had one of those in 4 months so I forget.

SHUT. UP.
You are really looking to get whupped.
Quick hi....and bye. all the faculty and staff are back this morning. So we are in meetings all morning.
I've been up since 5:00am so I'm ready for lunch. Seriously, people, it's the middle of August - we can't start up again this early!
