When I got home I watched the broadcast that I had recorded for a little bit, and I have to say I was very impressed with the camera work! Too often poor camera placement and direction detracts from capturing the full essence of what is happening on stage. It appears they did a spectacular job. I loved that they had a camera in the orchestra pit during the overture. Seeing Ted Sperling's fabulously expressive face was a joy!

...and no audience shots is a good thing! I wouldn't want to miss a moment of that glorious production.

So, um, should I mention that I will be singing with both Kelli O'Hara and Paulo Szot with the Chorale this season. Two separate concerts, but I get both of them. And one of them will be conducted by Ted Sperling. How ecstatic am I?

Happy Thursday Adults. I recorded SP on the good DVR, with the Good sound, with the big TV, for watching this weekend.

I will think happy thoughts of all of you who got to watch it in person when I see it.

And, phone interview on Monday with the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. Kind of surprised about the speed. A good chance it will not be a good fit for either of us, but it is nice to be considered.

It was just surprising - the pre-interview with another attorney (to see whether I was even close to a fit) went well, but she thought it would be weeks, or months before they contacted me with what was going on (recent acquisition). Not the same frigging day they got the resume!

At this point, if they are really interested, I am going to have to buy an interview suit since my company has been business casual for the past 8 years!
