"I guess I'll just have to try to figure out who I am, as opposed to playing the character I've become."
Well, now there's a novel concept.
Isn't it interesting that no one thought of that before.
Or communicated it.
Ad Nauseum.
It's a good thing I'm getting out of town, and restricting my online access.
Seriously.
While it would be nice to view this weekend's "revelations" with a cautious optimism, the best I can muster is a healthy dose of skepticism.
To use a cooking term: the proof will be in the pudding.
The flooding is all down, there's just a lot of damage left behind. There are SO many mom and pop type businesses that were under water. I have heard over and over, "The insurance man told me I shouldn't/couldn't get flood insurance." It's horrible. The town will bounce back, though. :)
The revelations aren't new, though. Lip service.

Good morning, all!
*snags a Boston Creme and a regular coffee*
Morning all!!!
How was the weekend?
Morning peeps!
Weekend was nice Tinky. I got a call though yesterday that my Logan had to be put to sleep. He had a ruptured spleen. If they operated he would have only lived another 3 -4 months. They made the right decision. He was the best dog ever! He lived a good life and brought everyone happiness who met him.
awww, boobs, hugs!!! I'm sorry to hear that!
Hugs to Boobs! Praying for some peaceful feelings. :)
Thanks Tinky. He was the best boy ever! He will be missed, but never forgotten. He brought so much joy into many lives.
So sorry to hear that poddie. He was a big, hairy bundle of joy!
Thanks Poddie. He was and even after almost 3 years I am still finding his hair in my house. Looks like he is haunting me
*hugs Boobs*
*the very sad cows bring lemonade and hugs*
Hugs Boobs as well. I am so sorry.
Zander just took out the second story screen and went flying out the window. He was so confused once outside, that it wasn't too hard to get him back in, but damn, that cat is going to give me even more gray hair.
Thanks Framily. We were lucky to have Logan in our lives. Any one who met him knew that as soon as he looked you in the eyes.
YWIW....sorry, but that made me LOL.
I thought it might add some levity to a sad morning for you.
He literally landed on the air condition compressor, and was just standing there going "huh?" Then ran to the front door, porch, and then ran into the (thankfully) open garage, where he decided to hide under my car until I got the garage door closed and him back inside the house.
I guess I need to leave the window a bit more closed so he cannot do a full body slam on the screen,
My friend who now has 4 cats, has double screens. Her cats will never get out of Fort Knox...lol
My AV is givng me some levity today too. Have you seen him on the cover of Vanity Fair? Finally someone who could get me to play soccer. I wonder if he gives private lessons?
