Wow, JG2!, otherwise how is Sweden? Love the pics you post!
After a crazy Friday night I laid low last night and was a good girl. Even went to the gym this morning. Damn this responsibility thing.
Everything is pretty darn great. The Swede goes back to work on Tuesday, so I may not be as blissfully happy, but it will still be nice to be a housewife. If only I could get a dishwasher and an air conditioner.
And yeah, being a responsible adult kind of sneaks up on you. Watch out.
*smiles reading everyone's posts, minus the douchey FIL for JG2*

Sigh. Donuts, margaritas and Chinese food have taken their toll. I have six days to lose three pounds. I'm pretending that this is the interior of a jelly-filled donut.
Sigh.
"Oh yes, Boobs. Girly would take orders from me so well:
D2: Girly, could you create a management category for "Subscribers 2010/2011, run a query on all patrons with Manhattan zip codes and go get some coffee for me?"
Oh. You're one of those.
"I am sure if you have a tropical section at work she will be just fine."
Every work place should have a tropical section...and not just on islands!
"Y'all are bein' mean to poor little defenseless Girly . . ."
Thank you, Q! MWAH!

For the record Girly, the only time I ask an intern to get me coffee is if they are going to get coffee for themselves. And I give them my Starbucks card to pay for both their coffee and mine.
Good boy!

good morning everyone!! Happy Monday!
Morning, kids. I have been putting together a bicycle and listening to the Indigo Girls. Now we're heading out for some wrenches. Sweden is making me gay!
Oh, and in case you have missed the celebrity almost melt down on facebook and the main board, let me sum it up. Ripley is nuts.

OK, I just read that as "Now we're headed out for some wenches."
See, you're not as gay as you cpuld be! Glad to hear that all (ok, almost all) is going well! Does it feel like home yet?
And what kind of Lesbo doesn't already own wrenches? :-P

'Morning, goddess! I bet the day just can't get here fast enough for you - or her!
Morning peeps! I hope all are well today. I had a very nice weekend. Had the best time at a wedding on Saturday. It was a real New York wedding. The ceremony was held at the catering hall which was situated under the Williamsburg bridge. The food was excellent and the company tons of fun! I escorted a friend to this wedding for a colleague of hers, so I knew no one. You know how much I enjoy meeting new people. Had a blast! Literally danced the night away! It was well worth all the driving I had to do.
Yesterday I enjoyed the sun and beuatiful breezes at Jersey Pride in Asbury Park with my poddie. He will tell you all that I seriously only bought one thing and that was on the boardwalk, not even at the festival.
Boobsie and I saw these yesterday. We thought of several to buy them for.

That would make a good wedding or engagement gift.
Well, I need a J hex wrench and I left them in Jersey and she can't find hers...lol.
It's already home. I am registered and have a doctor and eye doc appointment. I am unpacked and all our stuff is mixed in together. We've spent time with the whole family, so that anxiety is gone. I think we had our big sigh of relief when her dad left last night. He's a clowny bastard that she doesn't like and I spent the afternoon in protective mode. I don't know how they are related. But now our stressful deadlines are gone. We can just be. Well, I am stressed that she's
making me buy a bicycle helmet...lol.

She's making you buy a helmet because she loves you. And regarding the FIL - there's a reason we have 2 parents - you can ditch the one who's an idiot.
Ha ha! I had a big toolbox with regular old metal tools, but I left them at my NJ office on purpose. I brought my pink tool set with me. I love them!
JG2, sounds like all is falling into place. I am so happy for you guys! The helmet is a great idea. I have a good friend who fell off his bike and his helmet saved them. I don't ride bikes anymore without a helmet. Yesterday I was shocked to learn that 2 out of 3 of my friend's sons don't know how to ride bikes and they're 27 & 23 years old. WTF? Which just goes back to that idiot parent. I am talking about her EX husband of course. How do you not teach you kids to ride a bike?
In pink, blue, or platinum w/black accents, I wouldn't know what to do with those, SOMMS, but thanks for thinking of me!
Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?
I feel like Neely O'Hara....where's is everybody???
Hey Boobs, I'm hearing that there may be an announcement later today or tomorrow about your BFF's summer plans. If they're correct, the summer nights may be smiling. Big time.
