Morning peeps! I will hunt down the writer who decided to have them sing "To Sir with Love" on GLEE last night. Don't they know I am a bawling idiot when they sing it in the movie to Sidney? Did they think I would have a different reaction when they sang it to Matt? I am blaming my puffy eyes on them today!

Girly - what kind of scoop do you want? The boy has a break in his filming schedule so he's flying home for a visit this weekend. Unfortuantely, I won't be in town. At least not THIS town.

I sobbed.
I loved it.

It was the perfect song for the end of the season. And I love the way the episode unfolded. And then to top it off with that wonderful version of 'Over the Rainbow' was icing on the cake.

'To Sir With Love' is such a special movie. And that song holds an incredibly special place in my heart. For reasons I won't bore you with.

Oh, and, good morning! I am hoping that perhaps I will be able to go home from work the same day I arrive... fingers crossed!

Yum.

I actually eat extra-well during this crazy period at work. It's the only way I can keep my brain focused and energy up - for these insane days. (Monday I arrived at 8am and left at 3am!)

So, no bagels for me.

But, wait until this madness is over!

Boobs, the context of the song in the movie, and the parallels to Glee made it extra special.

Girly ordered me to add it to my Netflix que last night and I did! :)

I had a very close relationship with a teacher in HS. It wasnt choir but all relative. He first met my brother and kind of "adopted" him in a way, and then me, and I reallly owe him so much. He wasnt the crying type more military general, but when I was in really dark places he was always there kicking my butt towards the light. When I graduated, he actually teared up and said me & my bro were the children he always wanted (he never had kids). He died a few years later and it was probably the hardest non immediate family member deaths I've went through.

Even this "jaded New Yorker" tears up whenever I see that wonderful movie or hear the song. My sister took me to see it in the movie theater when I was 7 or 8 years old, and even though I was too young to understand it completely, I loved it. When I started teaching, I modeled my teaching style on his.

And I still love Lulu!

I still have not watched Glee the second half of the season. I have seen a few clips, but I have a whole bunch if episodes on my DVR and may just do a marathon. Somehow, it got too big and too everywhere to enjoy watching.

In a matter of a 2 week time frame I get to see both my favorite Floridians!!!!! My dad just e-mailed to tell me he is flying up for a week in July! I am as giddy as can be! :)
