Saw a beautiful performance of Candide last night at the 5th Avenue Theatre. Liked the show, and considering that I don't particularly like this type of show, that's saying a lot.

I'm glad to hear that, DD - Stanley Bahorek, who played Candide, was the lead in the first show of our season, INVENTING AVI, and he is a total sweetheart. And a fabulous performer.

I thought of you when I saw that on his bio. He's amazing. All quite amazing. Laura Griffith, who plays Cunegonde, practically stopped the show. I didn't realize I probably saw her in the Light in the Piazza tour.

I tried reading ... I just can't deal with that kind of intolerance and snarkiness from folks, and I'm talking posters, not Ms. Ripley.

It goes through a roller coaster - some goood points and then absurdity....then a few more good posts...then bat **** crazy....a few funny tangents...and then LCD trips....

Still no where near the level that the Claymates got to but still.....entertaining overall if you dont focus on the subject matter at hand rather the insanity

I tried reading the first thread and stopped after the second page. Just too nauseatingly narrow minded and frankly stupid postings from some really (and I'm going to say it) retarded BWW members. I can't even bring myself to read the thread about the proposed stage door rally tomorrow night. Oy.

It's appalling to me that folks that were/are most likely ostracized by others in their daily lives are so quick to do the same to those that don't think exactly like them. Intolerance creates intolerance. And then I become intolerant ... that's why I stop.

I agree Deet! Some BWW posters should just get off their damn high horse. I laugh at one poster who just thinks his word is golden. I realized that all he spews around here is bull$hit. People buy it all though. I will sit back and watch this poster disappear into oblivion when he is called out one of these days.

I think a poster must have had the same teacher I did for my "sexism/racism" class. The teacher told me I am racist just because I am white... a poster here says I am homophobic just because I am a straight female....

why do I have a feeling I am going to be kidnapped soon for a weekend of movie watch at casa de boobs? :) I should stop mentioning the many I probably havent seen

It actually already has been on my que for a while, just havent gotten to it. But it is one of the few I can stream instantly so has better chance of getting watched quicker....
