Kansas - I switched to 'morning, ALL' a long time ago - it covers all the bases
Boobs, people were yelling things at the screen at him! I can't imagine what would have happened if he were actually there. The sad thing is, I get the impression he likes it. I have to say that Mr. Isherwood was cracking me up!

Polly you are a whole lot closer to Kansas then I, being that I'm more ENE and in another country. But seeing that you are also a Tolkien fan, whats a little geography between friends.

Polly, Kansas is a Canadian.
Kansas, how do you feel about the term Canuck? I almost called you one, but I figured I'd better check first.
Hey Tink!

Canuck is fine. Never had any negative connotations for me. Now if I was a Leafs fan calling me a Canuck might not be a good thing. But at risk of being blasphemous I'm not a really a hockey fan.

Just wanted to make sure, because I know some people think a Canuck is only a French Canadian.

Interesting I just read a wikipedia entry on Canuck. Never thought of it as being a solely French Canadian reference but having grown up with the Crazy Canucks (skiers) and at least awareness of the Vancouver Canucks (hockey for those who don't know) the term in my realm is pretty generic. Just curious how the term Yank or Yankee resonants for you, can't say its a reference I would use but is it a "slur" to you?

Yes, but only because I'm "Southern".

same here we "rebels" take offense to the term "Yank". Then again, it's still referred to as the "War of Northern Aggression" like the south had nothing to do with it.

So that North South divide really does still exist. Then again we have the English French divide, East West divide and often Toronto/Ontario - Rest of Canada divide.

I'm very offended by being called a Yank or a Yankee, but only because I HATE the Yankees.
Seriously, neither bother me at all, but I'm pretty hard to offend, in general.

Hi to all you stragglers!
Poor Boobala! Too bad you couldn’t have snuck over and got on Route 9 somehow.
DG, I first saw the documentary in June of 2005. They did an outdoor showing at Rockefeller Center, but I just had to see it again without the street noise. Didn’t Euan just break your heart? When he was talking about having to leave the U.S.? So glad that all got straightened out.
Cannot wait for the DVD of this!

Tink - they didn't say! And they WERE asked directly.
Girly - the interview with Euan in his dressing room after closing was announced is the only time I got teary-eyed - he was SO devastated
And honestly, the circumstances behind the premature closing were presented as VERY murky. TABOO was the only one of the shows we didn't see (saw original casts of the others,) so it was interesting to see the footage and background story on it.
