Maybe John Travolta is banned in NoVa. There were huge posters for it in the Regal Cinema complex in MoCo last week, so I'm assuming that it will play here.

It's all over Maryland theatres - just nothing in Virginia. And I can't find a hit for Ratatouille in late July. (July 22 was our chosen date). Very depressing...

I just found out that my friend in the land "down under" was nominated for the Helpmann Award (which I believe is like our Tony)...can you believe he's up against Hugh Jackman for "Oz"? After seeing him in Priscilla I'd say Jackman better watch out. Oh BTW..that is him in my AV.

Ratatouille was cute... but I found the kitchen and rat scenes creepy.

The weather cooled off significantly last night and was able to sleep very well. I'm up before 7 - SCARY!

shamey..did I tell you about the Japanese tourist who noticed my friend when we were in a gift shop one day and she started screaming.."You the rady !!! You the rady !!!" I thought I was gonna pee my pants from laughing so hard. My friend is so gracious. He just smiles and nods his head and then allows her to take a picture with him as she continues to yell at her friends.."he the rady !!! he the rady !!!"

I'm hoping Mamie....there is talk of it going to the West End..we NEED it on B'Way...it's one of those "feel good" musicals..you want to sing and dance along...plus it is very touching too.

Mamie, being that you've been here on many a Sunday--and even slept in the state of ill-repute on a Sunday--you're already goin' to hell, so the way I see it, you have nothing to lose.

(And we won't even go into all those OTHER reasons for your damnation. I mean, let's face it, MD on a Sunday is a venial sin...especially in comparison to all those mortal sins you've racked up.)

DD I agree those scenes in Ratatouille seemed almost real and a little creepy as you said. Also thought it was a little too long. If they could have cut to between 90 and 100 minutes it would have been much better.
