re: Can The Adults Please Smoke? Freakin' Fifteen

For you, Babe:

Vacation
All I ever wanted
Vacation
Had to get away
Vacation
Meant to be spent alone

A week without you
Thought I'd forget
Two weeks without you and I
Still haven't gotten over you yet

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

Of course, BB, I'll be singing the second verse while you're gone. re: Can The Adults Please Smoke? Freakin' Fifteen

Moony, Moony, Moony. You've finally come over to the dark side. Or, maybe you've come out of the dark, I'm not really sure.

How about this one, Moony?

School's out for summer
School's out forever ...

No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's dirty looks

Well we got no class
And we got no principles
And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes

School's out for summer
School's out forever...

Out for summer
Out till fall
We might not go back at all

School's out forever
School's out for summer
School's out with fever
School's out completely

::Cracks whip::

It appears that after giving it 2 weeks to dry out, my iPod remains dead after accidentally dropping it in the toilet.

I'm trying to decide between the Product RED Nano and the U2 30GB - suggestions?

Moony are you looking for some new ear worms? Patronus, that sounds like a story!
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

You'd think so. Unfortunately, it's not that interesting.

I have some little Sony speakers in my bathroom that I plug my iPod into while I'm showering so I have some music. Typically, when I get out of the shower, I take the iPod either back in my office or put it in my bag.

I was quickly cleaning my bathroom one day because my wife's friend was making an unexpected visit and I lifted the speakers off of the shower door after I finished cleaning the toilet. For whatever reason, I hadn't detached my iPod the last time I used it and lifting the speakers caused the iPod to come off the counter and the weight made it drop from the earphone connection and fall directly into the toilet.

*ploop*

I got it out instantly and it looked like it was going to work, but then it died out completely. I'm normally so careful with it, but it only takes one big bonehead mistake to be without an iPod.

I think that was Fate's way of telling you it was time for a new Ipod.

I have the regular 30GB. It holds 15,000 songs and 7,500 pictures, so barring any unforeseen toilet incidents, I'll never need another. re: Can The Adults Please Smoke? Freakin' Fifteen

re: Can The Adults Please Smoke? Freakin' Fifteen

I like the way you think!

For me - it's the exact opposite, Shameless.

I actually have well over 80GB of music, so there isn't an iPod available right now that will hold my entire collection.

I keep going back and forth on the small Nano since it's part of the RED campaign and the U2 iPod since it looks cooler. re: Can The Adults Please Smoke? Freakin' Fifteen

What's the difference between 8GB and 30GB when I'm not going to be able to have it all with me anyway?

At this exact momemnt, I'm leaning towards getting the U2 iPod and making a donation to the RED campaign separately.

Wow, Patronus, that is a serious amount of music.

re: Can The Adults Please Smoke? Freakin' Fifteen

I'm factoring in theatre bootlegs in that total collection number, but yes - there is way too much, frankly.

DG, there was definitely my fair share of "guilty pleasure/toilet music" on there. re: Can The Adults Please Smoke? Freakin' Fifteen

re: Can The Adults Please Smoke? Freakin' Fifteen

That's gotta be around 40,000 songs. Who are you, Elton John? re: Can The Adults Please Smoke? Freakin' Fifteen

It just occurred to me that that may not have made any sense if you're not living in my head. When Elton was on cribs a few years ago, they showed a walk-in closet that was wall-to-wall CDs.
