Master View intrigued me at a young age with tales of far away countries.

I think you must be quite a bit younger since I remember Mr. Sandman very well and it was one of my favorites. lol

Any of the DC contingent going to see Witches of Eastwick?
So cool to have seen Singature go from a scrappy little theater in a warehouse in Arlingto to what it has become.

I'm looking into it, but we have a summer stock program here and my evenings are a little tight. Weekend, maybe.....
I'd love to see the new theatre and the production got a great review in the Post.

I wish I could. I have so much ka-ka going on right now that I can't even work in one show. Ridiculous!

And you'll meet us there, WHEN?

Hm... let's see... a 40 minute drive vs. a 5 hour flight... yeah, that's comparable. :-P
I WISH I could be there. My niece, sister, lasagna at a catholic girls school, the Barbie theater... Believe me, if I could, I would. With the trips this fall/coming winter, DC is out of the question in the summer.

You'd love lunch today:
Summer chicken salad
Smoked turkey w/ pesto mayo on croissant
fruit salad
penne pasta puttenesca salad
chocolate cookies w/ white chocolate morsels
Yeah, I'm SO buying that Alli diet pill stuff. Next week.

I'll have one of each, thankyouverymuch.
Did you read about Alli's side effects? I rather be overweight than have to carry a change of pants around.

I have heard the Alli stuff is not all that it is cracked up to be, but isn't that the case with everything?
DD - yes, I am still sore but much better than yesterday. Thanks for asking!

I had a great breakfast here at the resort - multigrain pancakes with Michigan dried cherries drizzled with maple syrup. MMMMM good.

LOL, yes, but Letterman's jokes aside, they don't really tell you to do that. They do say to stay "close to home" the first day or two. And apparently it only happens if you eat a high fat diet. then again, if you eat a low fat diet, you probably don't need the pills.

he he
That's what they said on the Today show. The lady tried to be polite - erm, yeah... it keeps your body from absorbing about 40% of the fat in your food, but that fat has to go somewhere... It was funny.
So, to take it, you have to eat a low fat diet and combine it with exercise. Right?

of course DD!
I don't think it has happened yet because it is not prime diet season, but in the fall WAL*MART is planning to devote SERIOUS shelf space to this Alli product, that's how much they predict it to sell. They are pretty much clearing 75% of the rest of the diet products of their shelves, and in the diet market, WAL*MART is usually the pills best seller.

Right. But that will take off weight anyway, so.......
It's actually only 25% of the fat that it removes. You're not supposed to eat more than 15 grams of fat at each meal, because then you'll have the "treatment effects" (that's their word for it).

Why did "treatment effects" make me burst out laughing.
It sounds hardly worth it. She said that if you lose 10 pounds, the pill will only help you lose an additional 2.5 pounds. I rather lose 10 pounds and not put chemicals in my body.
Then again, I'd rather eat cheese and eggs and veggie lasagna.
