I can't wait to have DG to myself soon.
Our weather is a bit like London's... today high-60s, low 70s, but then high 60s's through the weekend, might break 70 on Sunday.

"Summertime brings out the sockpuppet people"
That sounds like the tag-line for the next (bad) Stephen King made-for-television adaptation.

Two of them, Mamie!
Just got a delightful email from an old friend. After a year and a half of tinkering with the idea, he has decided to run for city council in his city. I'm delighted! He's a dream candidate - has worked on issues of government reform and accountabilty for years and now he'll be able to act on his principles. AND...he's also the first openly gay candidate there. I'm sending him a campaign contribution today. First time in years I've felt really good about making a political contribution.

Damn, DG, nobody told me you were such a looker!
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

Shamey - I was reading quickly, and thought you said 'Hooker' - and I thought, "What, is she new?"

Shamey - he's always looking.
Well... I was useless yesterday, so I better get my act in gear.
Have a loverly day everyone!

Shamey - you must not notice that I drool a little bit everytime I mention his name.
Or maybe you just figured it was my advanced age making me drool.

I have this fantastic CD on here in the office. It's The Andrews Sisters with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. They just played a song that (for some strange reason) made me think of missing friends in far away places ...... having birthdays.
Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny!
How you can love!
Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny!
Heavens above!
You make my sad heart jump with joy,
And when you're near I just
Can't sit still a minute.
I'm so, Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny!
Please tell me dear.
What makes me love you so?
You're not handsome, it's true,
But when I look at you,
I just, Oh, Johnny!
Oh, Johnny! Oh!
Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny!
How you can love!
Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny!
Heavens above!
You make my sad heart jump with joy,
And when you're near I just
Can't sit still a minute.
I'm so, Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny!
Please tell me dear.
What makes me love you so?
You're not handsome, it's true,
But when I look at you,
I just, Oh, Johnny!
Oh, Johnny! Oh!

Great song....until you get to the "You're not handsome, it's true" line. Soooooo untrue of someone I know! But the rest is "spot on" as they say down under.

Moony, I never noticed the drool. I would tell you. Just like I would tell you if you had toilet paper stuck to your shoe, something stuck between your teeth or hanging out of your nose. I'm a good friend like that.
I think you were just holding out on me.

Yes mamie! Great sig.

Where did Tink run off to? I didn't even get a hello today. I'm a little miffed.
