Cake and alcohol for breakfast never killed anyone. Might have made them sick as a dog, but not deadly. S'all good.
Special kisses for DD and Shira!
OK, tell me my students aren't spoiled. Here's the write up for our spring field trip:
"What better place to try your hand at acting than in LA? Any student in the Performing Arts Department interested in going to Los Angeles in the spring should see ----- for information on the trip. The deadline to sign up for this trip is Friday, September 14 at 2:00pm. This Los Angeles trip offers an acting workshop and make-up workshop with professions from UCLA, several theater performances and visits to historical Hollywood landmarks and studios. This opportunity is open and available to all members of a Performing Arts club, any student currently enrolled in a Performing Arts class, and/or those students who have successfully completed one semester of a Performing Arts class during the 2006-2007 school year."
When I was in high school we thought it was a big deal to go to the Kennedy Center.
can i be one of your students?
Hi Moony!! *hugs*
MOONY!!! *big hug*
Field trip: LA. Wow. We went to the local museum.

Trust me, Tink, you don't want to go on this trip with 60 teenage girls.

Moony - I know someone you can turn to in LA for an escape . . .

I thought of you immediately, Beloved. I was asked to chaperone (begged, really - it wasn't pretty) but turned it down. Sixty kids in Hollywood? No thanks. I got no sleep the last time I chaperoned a PA field trip to NYC.

Well, the truth is, it would probably be during the time we're in NYC - SO, with your school so empty, you can come up and play
moony - that's why they invented flasks!

DG -
Tink - my fear is that there will be plenty of flasks on the trip. Been there, confiscated that.
I would have turned it down too, Moony!
Well, I'm off. Ciao kids!

Shira - where's my magazine?!?
On our AP History trip to Washington DC, they just put the vodka in their orange juice bottles. No one was the wiser.

Sigh.
I hope your DBQ wasn't on prohibition!
We did the vodka in the OJ thing is high school too. We thought we were so clever, just to find out years later - when one of my teachers became more or less a friend - that they knew all along and kept on trying to catch us.
I never brought drugs or alcohol on high school field trips. I didn't even really drink until my senior year and I didn't become truly corrupt until college.
***Pops in to say 'hello' to the Adults!***
Jungle!!! Hiya! Long time.
Hiya, DD! I hope that all is well with you!
Sorry for my extended absences - I know that I am becoming a cameo player here at BWW. My life has been crazy - but good. Work keeps me hopping and I just got back from a nice, needed vacation. We've just bought a new lake house, too, which will be great for weekends - but has taken a good deal of time to set up.
Love and good thoughts to all!
Wow, congrats, Jungle!
Thanks, Shamey! I hope that all is well with you! :)
Life is good, Jungle. Thanks!
