I made pumpkin bread last night, which turned out really good.

I bake one gooide from this list every week. Cherry cheesecake, all kinds of muffins, chocolate cake with cream cheese icing, apple crisp, peach pie, warm peach cobbler, pecan pie. All from scratch! Love to cook!

I can bake a delicious cheescake...
I can basically make any meal...I'm not too bad at stuff like that.
i love to be tought to cook new stuff... and watching cooking shows is totally exciting!
Box mixes are my friends, but I don't really follow the directions and add a ton of other stuff...
Bras do not belong on one's face.
Anyway, yes, I usually end up adding my own ingredients, but I follow the directions.

Baking is very therapeutic for me. I tend to go overboard around the holidays and make lots of goodies. Here's the gingerbread house I made last year.

So, you fell for the face trick!
Good work, Marlene.
That house is gorgeous!
Do you actually eat the gingerbread houses, or do you just look at them?
Do you know the muffin man?
Is he the one on Drury Lane?
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, that house went to good use at my family's party. When we were younger my mom would buy a gingerbread house from the bakery and we'd demolish it the day after Christmas (Jesus is born = let's destroy cookie architecture or something like that). I usually make a bunch of gingerbread cookies, so I thought I'd try my hand at a house.
The big secret is using Twizzlers as a sort of rebar in the frosting in the inside of the house. That, and those are load-bearing gummi bears.
I bake when I get stressed out or need to relax. My husband's friends LOVE when I get stressed out because I usually send them all of the stuff I bake because I don't want it piling up here at the house. Yesterday I baked from 4-11pm making cup cakes and cookies for my students' Fall Festival.
Most definitely. My mom is a family and consumer education teacher (formerly known as "Home Ec") so she's taught be a few baking tips.
I've done both from boxes and from scratch. Both are enjoyable, it just all depends on time.
My mom would spend all of December in the kitchen. She made excellent banana-nut bread, those German cinnamon cookies and Santa's thumbprints.
I hate the holidays. Too many memories; too much pain.
