Hi all. Everybody ready for Thanksgiving? We've got a super-short week (work is closing down at noon on Wednesday) and then the cooking can begin! I love cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Is anybody else going to cook this year?

Awe - it's tough, I know. A few years ago I had to make the dinner for 9 and I was on weight watchers at the time. We had a buffet set up and I made a point of putting things like stuffing, mashed potatoes, cheesy broccoli, gravy - all down on one end. That way I could visit the buffet and just turn away before I got to that end. (I did miss the goodies though).

I love cooking. It saddens me that there are no stoves in the dorm rooms.

Mamie, NO! It's not about age, its about the fact that my Mom's favorite kind of Thanksgiving is going to someone else's house so she doesn't have to cook.

ONE year we had Thanksgiving at my house. It was just me, my Mom, and brother.

We bought everything pre-made, from the turkey to the pie and ate it on paper plates so there would be no cleanup.

So my idea of cooking is heating stuff up!

I am usually the queen of the candies yams. But this year, I am not sure that I will be making them, because my kitchen is not quite ready for such a project.

Thanksgiving, candied yams, Passover, Charoses, and Holidays, homemade cookies.

That's what I do...

Hey, adults.

It will be a hot day down here. I've been out and about and got caught with an anti-nuclear protest. One the protesters said something stupid to me and I flipped her the bird. I am so ashamed of myself. I don't do that to people. But, there is something about a hot day...
