LOL Soapy.
I just rediscovered "Tempted" by Squeeze I'm very tempted to dance around the living room.
Please. I'm listening to the Spice Girls Greatest Hits.
I went though that phase a week ago. . . and boy did I dance. . . in front of four and five year olds.
ETA: I've moved on to The Mary Jane Girls I'm in a really 80's mood tonight.
I am convinced i will never be happy with this freakin damn tree! I try and try, but I still can't get it perfect. Buzz keeps trying to reassure me it is fine, but every time he says it I want to stab him with an ornament hook!!
Yes, once medical insurance begins I do plan on getting medicated, lol. Just in case the thought crossed your mind.
LOL Tink.
Tink, I heart you.
ohhh, that looks like a challenge!
2005 was the first year in the apt and with MY own tree. I did white lights and all different shades of blue and silver balls. And then the random regular ornaments collected over the years. I loved it! But in 2006 , Buzz complained that he wanted old school colored lights, so I switched and used color lights, bought other colored balls (deep purple, red, deep green, white frosted, etc.) and used those with the reg. ornaments, then some silver garland to give it a sparkle. He loved it, but it wasn't "special" enough for me. So this year, I have stuck still with the colored lights and various colored balls/ornaments, but instead of garland I bought crimson red sheer ribbon (thick, so I folded it and twisted a bit to give it a multi dimensional look). And of course now that it is all done, I wish i had the clear light with the sheer ribbon! I mean I am sure it looks good, but it is still missing the "pizazz" it had in my mind when thinking it up.
Tink you are amazing, I still need to finish up my tree. But that is what tomorrow is for!
I just went a bit garland happy. Since I took it off the tree, it was just sitting there. It now is being displayed on the various door frames and windows in the kitchen. la la la la la. Buzz just sits there and shakes his head. I think it is at times like this that i actually scare him.
We have enough ornaments for several 8' trees so it takes awhile to get through everything. I think it will only be one large tree this year.
lol, too funny mom! I am getting there with the amount of ornaments we have collected in a short period of time.
Tomorrow I will do the outside/window decorations. Every year my mom and step dad had a few Christmas rituals, so I am going to do my best to keep them alive with her. Also, every year they always marveled at all the inflatables out there, but never got one (and their yard probably has enough room to house every single one in existence), so i said screw it and went and got her one. I'm gonna go put it up while she is at work tomorrow. A holiday freak's work is never done.
We will see how much energy I have. It is only Saturday tomorrow.
But now my pillow is calling me. Nighty nite all!
A holiday freak's work is never done.
Really Tink, why limit yourself to one kind?
one at a time, shira.
Okay. I think I might buy me a digital camera. I've never really paid attention to the whole pixel thing. Can anyone explain it to me?

Girly, the higher the pixel, the better the picture when you enlarge it. Pixels are basically the dots/images used to generate the picture. If you want a sharper image, especially for larger prints, you want higher pixels. The lower the pixels, the more distortion you get when the picture gets larger. At this point, I would go with a 6 megapixel camera at least.
I am sure someone else can provide a more technically sound explanation, but it is a start.
Here is some more info on it:
What is a pixel.
Thanks, You! I can tell this is going to be quite a process for the novice that I am. There seems to be such conflicting info out on the web. I think I'll "interview" my friends and check out their cameras to get more of a feel for the different features.

I love Canon's personally. But to each his/her own. My brother has a cool Casio Exilim which is nice too.
I have a Canon powershot as well, and love it. I took some amazing pictures when I went to China a couple of years ago. One thing that is important to me is to buy one that takes standard batteries, that way, if you need some replacements, you do not have to buy something that is hard to find while on vacation. Also, I actually prefer one that is a bit larger, so it is easier to hold in the hand.
There are some old threads discussing digital cameras.

Good Luck - check out reviews at CNET and Amazon as well.
Girly,
I buy the cameras for the office, and buy cameras that are good quality yet easy to use and take good pictures. So far, the fave in the office have been the Nikon CoolPix and Cannons. I personally like the Casio Xslim because the pre-sets work great.
Starting November 26, you can buy the Nikon Coolpix L14 for only $119.00 at Costco.com. I've looked around and it's a good deal. (7.1 megapixels, BTW.)
Hey Gang!
I can't find my camera. I'm starting to think I lost it in Vegas.
Shamey and ms. P!!!
I need a new camera. Mine sucks, and not in a good way.
Well, I'm getting that camera for Starina for Xmas...and Santa is getting one for me!
