Moony - it's ok - I CAN be very lady-like . . .
Mamie - I didn't save what I wrote - and it pretty much only served for someone to be snarky, so I'd rather not re-live that
What up, Tink?
Food is not your friend, today? I take that to mean that the party went fairly well.
Somebody's always going to be snarky. It just can't be helped around here. I don't know why so many people registered at this site feel a need to be that way in almost every thread. Why don't they just save their energy and not post at all?
ANYWAY - I was going to tell you that reading the thread made me go back and pull out all my old JD LP's. I opened "An Evening With John Denver" and the program I got for his Spring Tour 75 fell out! This album celebrated that tour and I had forgotten that I'd tucked the program inside to save it. I'm going to listen to it and do some reminiscing...
Party was good. It feel like as soon as I finished decorating I was immediately taking it all back down, but whatever, lol. Unfortunately I didn't get to drink much because I was too busy being hostess. By the time everything was cleaned up and I started to drink, everyone went home, lol. I looked hot, so that is really the only important factor.
Shira survived....I think.
Good to know. I guess looking great trumps not being able to drink.
I've done absolutely nothing worthwhile this weekend and I'm thrilled about it.
Yay Tink!
My show is going well, thanks all for asking. Some cool peeps came last night, including my friend who's about to leave town for ten months - that's beginning to feel real and I don't like it. at. ALL.
YAY for laziness
Congrats on the show Rath.

Mamie - thanks for the Angels
And that '75 tour was the one I talked about in my thread (when I played ping-pong with him)!!! Memories, indeed . . .
Yay for laziness, but not so much for my stuffiness and germiness.
Congrats Rath! I was going to ask, but I was afraid of summoning your stalkerazzi.
Btw, I have to confess that I both watched and enjoyed LB yesterday.
You're sick? On the WEEKEND?
And thanks for the consideration, lol!

Shamey - I watched it, too. I liked it more than I thought I would - but can't say I really liked it overall.
Well, DG, it won't make my top 10 or anything, but I did laugh a lot.
Oh, and I saw The Wedding Singer tour last Thursday and I shocked the hell out of myself by enjoying that too.
I've been sick since Monday, Rath, but I finally embraced it yesterday morning.
DG - I just opened this program and a newspaper clipping fell out. It was an interview with John by a Washington Post reporter. John had just done 2 shows at the Capital Center and had signed autographs and met the suits, celebs, and kids with backstage passes, and was now with the interviewer - at 4 am. Everybody was tired EXCEPT John Denver. The reporter said "Inside the Bullets' recreation room sat John Denver. He looked as bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as ever, sitting there sipping, of course, a Coors beer. John Denver wanted to play ping-pong."
If you pause on the crowd shot, digitally zoom x 18,000, maybe you can see Shira & I! :)
It wasn't a bad filming, but it made LBB look horrible. I actually felt bad.
I didn't think she looked bad at all. In fact, I didn't even notice the thing we talked about.
hehe, I know a few people who noticed that. But I thought the angles they shot her at made her look pudgy, and she certainly is not pudgy normally.
Right.
There's only one person in the cast that I didn't like, but I feel bad calling him out. I just don't like his voice at all.
My love for Richard's boy band voice grew larger from the broadcast, lol.
No, his voice didn't bother me, not that he had many songs.
Shamey, I think we may be thinking about the same person. I'm surprised not more people had a problem with it. I'm still in love with Orfeh, overacting and all she makes me extremely happy.
Soapy, does the person you're thinking of sound like he sings with a clothes pin on his nose?

I think I fell a little in love with the guy she ends up with . . .
And I didn't think she looked bad at all. And she was my biggest surprise - I thought she was charming.
I agree with you on LBB, DG, I went into it expecting not to like her much.
Oh no, the broadcast reinforced what I thought when I saw the show, her character (the voice mainly) drives me up a wall! My favs were the chick that played the cheerleader sorority friend and Orfeh.
LS (MY LS) wants to see it again based on yesterday's broadcast. I actually enjoyed it more yesterday than I did when I saw it in April. I think LBB is terrific.
