*sigh*
Now I get to go from video of Gavin in POPPINS to shirtless Roger!
This site is bad for my heart!
Or what it needs

DG, I hope you're keeping Roger's sneakers on file!
The shoes are an Eliza Doolittle-Henry Higgins kinda thing!

Oh, MissP - referencing Pygmalian/My Fair Lady is SO the way to my heart!
And if Roger threw ANYTHING at me, I'd catch it in my teeth . . .
You ladies seem to bring out the bawdy in me. I'm usually so quiet and reserved.
And of COURSE they're in the collection

I'm feeling nostalgic for the Halloween's most of us grew up with.

Girly - this whole communal dynamic sprung from that nostalgia!
But you're right - this is the type of event that makes us realize what's been lost.

I'm seeing Pygmalian tomorrow...
Oh, and, you've gotta love a man who can blow... an alpine horn!

I have to say... tonight has been like a return to the days of 'old' for me. The homemade costumes and the cute children ringing doorbells and being so excited to pick out pieces of candy.
It's been nice.

That's why I posted it here, DG! I knew you guys would all understand.
I think the little guy might finally be here! Hope he's not sleepy. Guess that will depend on how much candy his mom let him have.

Hep - 'Roger-catching' sounds like a new sport I want to try.
And Addy - are you trying to KILL ME?!?!?
Do it again . . .

I wonder if his cows are producing cheese, yet.
Girly, I didn't grow up with Halloween. I feel that I have gained an inkling of the fun of the holiday from today's threads.

Now I'm going to sound like a big OLD depressing curmudgeon. Oh well.
I think Halloween has gotten totally out of control. It's just WEIRD. That's all.

And, you've GOT to love a man who knows how to... milk a cow! The technique!

I agree that Halloween has spun out of control...
Have fun with the little guy, Girly!

Addy - I may be the only person who actually likes that pic - it's going in the file!
MissP - us gay boys are supposed to feel that Halloween is our big holiday (it's in the contract) - but I've NEVER liked it! I always felt like I had to wear a mask all the time - why should I celebrate doing it on one specific night of the year? I almost laughed out loud when I saw in another thread that DD and his beau weren't crazy about it either. What a surprise

It's a wonderful holiday for CHILDREN and it's fine if someone wants to wear an orange sweater or spider-inspired earrings at work on October 31, but I've had grown adults dressed in ghoulish garb asking for me for candy tonight. COME ON!!! GROW UP!!!
Oooh. Gotta go watch PUSHING DAISIES!!!! (Not everyone gets preview DVDs, Miss Thang!!!)

Is Amex Roger's middle name?
YES!
Gotta run - the TinMan has created a lovely dinner.

The 'contented cow' comment was CLASSIC!
And, Miss P... enjoy the show!

Happy dinner with the Tin Man, DG. (Have you seen there's a new show by that name? Tin Man!)
I, too, should probably wrap things up here and make some dinner. Before I eat Twix bars for supper.
Happy Halloween to all.

Posted: 10/31/07 at 8:17pmWell, the cutest Yankee recruit I've ever met has just left. I gave him a bunch of books, since I wasn't sure if he'd get to have the candy with his dad around. He LOVED his new Bob The Builder book. Wouldn't let it out of his sight, and wanted nothing to do with the others.
