At least you would have a decent guest-list.

I am a wine snob - but purely domestic. You can share your European vintage with me, and I'll show you how we do it here.
But I'll still have whiskey later on
Hep, you should make the trip...SoCal is much closer to you than NYC!
I assure you, DG, that eery bottle I have would be best appreciated by wine snobs. My friend Pierre hand-selected each and every bottle for me. He knows wine better than anyone I have ever known and he knows wines that most of us will never even see or hear of in our lifetimes. That's why I just let him point and say, "Oh, you MUST have this one!" And I put it in the cart, no questions asked!
DG - Happy two year anniversary of this incarnation of your persona!
It is hard to believe that was all two years ago.
Off to attack a couple more boxes, and then some much desired sleep.

Have I mentioned decanting yet? I really recommend it for older Reds. And it's actually kind of fun.
I'm way ahead of you, Pal!!!!
I'd love to be there, Miss P. I gotta see DG's decanting technique.
I will just nod and sip - thank you.
I will let the wine masters handle all of the difficult choices!
Well, you know what they say about DG: "There's nothin D can't do!"

Heh - didn't even notice that, YWIW. I tend to view my time here as one piece - which dates back to May of '04. Oh well - just another excuse to have a toast, I say
And MissP, it doesn't surprise me that you know of the decanting trick . . .
Hep - that is NOTHING compared to my other skills
Yeah...Happy 2nd Phoenix Day, DG!!!
Night all - off to attack a few more boxes before bed. Have a great evening (or morning)!
Night, YWIW. Have fun.
I knew it was a naughty DG.

Ooooh - I LOVE the mythology of the Phoenix!
And Hep - associating ME with something DIRTY?!?!? Well, I NEVER!
Did I say anything about dirt? I think not. The word of the day is 'naughty.'

Tomato, tomatoh.
And I've no problem with dirt
Are you still polishing Roger's armour?

Spit polishing, Hep . . . and if it's not done correctly, I get punnished.
God forgive me if I neglet anything . . .
So, that's how it is at the castle.

Well, that and all the pomp and circumstance - but that only has to do with his nightly bathing
I don't know about the circumstance, but I'm sure there's a lot of pomping going on!

MissP - the circumstance CAN play an important part, as I'm sure you know
Seems like some interesting things went on around here since I left work yesterday.

Girly - just some technical stuff - which, of course, sent some into a tailspin.
See what you miss when you're living your life?
I actually posted something very beautiful to you in your thread, DG, but it was one of the posts that got inadvertently destroyed. I couldn't "recreate" it because it was too "in-the-moment" emotional.
But it was heartfelt...and I still mean every word of it!
