Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
Must be a busy Friday...not many pages for me to catch up with...! My Friday has been good especially not since my student last hour is not here so I am hiding in a classroom playing on my computer. Girly, cute Trick or Treater there in your avatar. I have to post a picture soon of my new grandson, Eli. He is a cutie!
Hiya adults...
Still recovering from last night - saw the most horrific, appalling, and offensive show last night: A Chorus Line at a local theater. I think most of you by now know how I feel about this show, and I always find something to like in every production I've seen. I still can't get over last night. I knew I was in trouble when they announced an intermission - mind you, this is a "professional" theater, so that seemed very off place. They didn't have enough men, so Greg and Richie were cut, and Mark was played by a woman who sang Richie's song. And Zach - played by the director - was READING his lines from a clipboard. And not even trying to hide it. He would follow the script with his finger, and flip the pages. There was NO dancing during the montage - they just stood (or sat) there. I felt terrible for the actors, you could totally see the pain in their eyes. I know it was preview - but it opens today. I can't imagine that much will change, except for hopefully the director learning his lines.
Sorry... had to rant. Can't decide if I'm going to post this on the local board (not bww).
Hello DD - Sorry to hear about your terrible theater experience. There is nothing more irritating than a very bad production of a show that you like. Can't believe it was supposed to be a professional theater group. I went to a concert last night and I fell asleep and started to snore during the University of Michigan's Women's Glee Club performance...luckily my daughter poked me before I went on too long...their performance definitely went on too long. Ha Ha
baddy!!! Hiya!
That's funny. I always fear falling asleep in a show because I can snore. jS fell asleep a couple of times during Into the Woods last week, and I had to poke him as well.
I really do try not to fall asleep because of the possible snoring but I did drowse the first time that I saw The Drowsy Chaperone because I had drank a beer before the show and I am such a partier that it put me to sleep. Have a good weekend everyone. Got to go now..bell rang.
But the second time she saw THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, she was wide awake and loved it. Right, Baddy???
***Pops in to wish the Adults a Happy Friday!***
Same to you, Red! I would be celebrating right now if I weren't so sleepy!!!
***Passes a bottle of Red Bull to Miss P.***
I hope that all is well with you!
I hope everything is a-ok with you, too, Red!
Confession: I have never had Red Bull. What does it taste like???
All is fine, here, Miss P. I'm happy that the workweek is winding down. I'll drop the pups off at the spa for their baths and haircuts in the AM and then go watch my niece play soccer.
I've actually never had a Red Bull, either. (I don't drink soda anymore). However, I know that it is LOADED with caffeine - and it sounded like you might need a bit of that to perk you up!

I know about the caffeine, but I wonder what it actually tastes like.
Once, because I was feeling nostalgic, I bought a can of Tab. But it turns out that it tastes nothing like the "old Tab" because now it's an "energy drink" like Red Bull.
After one sip, I turned to the person I was with and said, "This is putrid!" (And, let's face it, "old Tab" wasn't exactly like a fine Chateauneuf du Pape!)
Oooh, now we are talking - I've got a bottle of a 1995 Chateauneuf du Pape that I brought back from France several years ago that is begging to be opened. I wonder how much longer I should age it?
I say break it open tonight! (And invite me! )
Ah, the sommelier is here.
Hey, all.
A sommelier-slash-psychiatrist...that could come in handy!
(Hi, Hep!!!)
Afternoon, Miss P. How's the family?
Hiya, adults.
Ebullient, as ever! Thanks for asking.
And you????
Hi Hep!
Miss P. - It's tempting!
Red, you really should loook that bottle up. I just read a long article about "old" bottles of French wine, which I was VERY interested in because I, too, have a wine cellar with bottles I've brought back from France since 1995! I can't remember where I read it, but I do remember thinking, "I must open those bottles SOON!"
I just don't want to open them unless there are people with me who will A) help me drink them and B) appreciate them.
Hey, Soap.
Hey, Jungle.
I wish more families were ebullient, Miss P. It would give life so much more vim, froth and bubble.
Hi Hep and Soapy!
Miss P. - I agree with you about:
"I just don't want to open them unless there are people with me who will A) help me drink them and B) appreciate them".
Some friends who live in Napa Valley sent me a Wine Spectator which focused on bottles of Chateauneuf du Pape. I think my bottle should be 'peaking' soon!
