We're just back from Leipzig, where one of the sites we visited was Mendelssohn's house, as well as the Schumann house and the Bach Museum.

103 here today. For this, we could live in Arizona!

The car is packed and we're taking off. Have a great (ccol?) weekend and stay cool next week. I won't taunt you with the weather forecast for mid-coast Maine. Let's just say that we've packed sweatshirts and jeans.

I watched the Memphis broadcast last night. Not a terrible show, not the best show. Enjoyable, although I couldn't understand what the hell Huey was saying half the time.

I guess this heat is affecting the ground hogs too. I guess it was too hot under the shed for them because they decided to sleep on my lawn very close to my patio. Perhaps they could feel the A/C through my windows. All I know is that as I opened the sliders to let the puppies out, one groundhog ran, but the otehr was still sluggish. Joop practically jumped on top of it. Frankie just ran along side of it barking as they chased it behind the bushes and down behind the shed. It seemed they only wanted to play with it. They didn't hurt it and it didn't hurt them. Not a good way to start my morning though.

haha, I'll have to go check it out. I never know if it is only me and my hearing issues or an actual thing. I feel a bit better when I know it wasn't only me, lol.

I also watched A Single Man the other night. Man, that Colin Firth can do anything. The pacing was a bit dull but what an ending.

Tinky, I went to see the Memphis movie and for most of it he annoyed me with his voice. I didn't think I was going to make it to the end. I guess after awhile I just got so involved with the story that I didn't notice it much.

I would've thought it would be cooler underground. Go figure. I can just picture the Bug pouncing on it! LOL! Guess your heart skipped a beat or two, there.

I didn't have a problem understanding Huey when I saw Memphis live or when I saw the movie. His voice did annoy me more watching the movie, though.

Actually I was fine because I knew the groundhog was more afraid of them. He just wanted to get the hell away from them as fast as he could. They wanted to play. They were like..."where you going? Stay and play with us." Joop easily could have taken him down if she wanted to. She just enjoys the chase.
