Hello, hello, hello...
Moony, yes my guest did enjoy it very much. Billy Elliot is still his favorite though.
Q, I'm am trying my damn hardest! They just won't cooperate with me.
Hi, Deet!!!
YWIW - I would love to lock her out for the night, but unfortunately I only have one AC in the apt right now, so closing my bedroom door would close off my air flow. (I actually did lock her in the bathroom once out of frustration, but it was only for like 2 hours) I'm conviced she can scale walls so a gate or something would be pointless.
Works on pets too...so I've been told.
Get a squirt bottle then, and use it alot!
When I had my kitty I used a squirt bottle to try and deter him from uprooting plants and otherwise reeking havoc. Damned cat grew to love water and would jump in the sink when I washed dishes, splash around in his water bowl, go for the open toilet and jump in the shower and scare the ever loving crap out of me.
*is quietly taking notes*
Oh, and will someone PLEASE keep reminding me to stay away from the Funny Girl threads on the main board?
YWiW and Q: re Funny Girl: we need to pick a date. And Dainty June is going to join us.
psssst Deet....stay away from the Funny Girl threads on the main board.
Thanks, Boobs.
Let's plan the framily outing now. We know we're going.

It's amazing to me when items like that seemingly become life and death issues to people. Truly, amazes me.
D2 - we should probably start with what dates might work for you, considering it will mean a bit more arrangement on your end. Although, if the market doesn't turn around, we're not going to be seeing anything anywhere for quite some time
Oooh, SoMMS, a West Coast Framily Gathering!!!!!
Q, it will have to be in January -- school starts January 30 so I'd have to be back by then. Show starts previews on the 15th, so one of those two weeks.
I'm with SOMMS - water bottle would be amusing for kitty who already enjoys water. It did work with Buddy when I had him though.
When the AC is on I keep the bathroom door closed, so when I do open it Serenity bolts like lightening in there (her favorite spot to relax is the bathroom sink) and well the one day I guess I forgot to lower the toilet seat cover before leaving the time before and well, kitty fell right in when she jumped up onto the seat. heh. I laughed. a lot.
She is relatively good during normal waking hours (when not trying to chill, bake or fry herself), just runs a lot of laps. The destruction of things is just when I'm sleeping or trying to sleep, so my coordination and balance is not at its peak when this happens, so I'd probably end up constantly squirting myself in the face in error.
If I feel this way about a kitten, what in the hell were my parents thinking having kids???? jeesh!
Kids are easier. *refer to duct tape picture*
I actually use earthquake/museum putty to secure things to protect against earthquakes, and Zander's tendencies to knock stuff down just to see it fall.
If you have breakable stuff that would not be damaged by the putty, it might be a good investment.
And, whatever dates work for you guys!
