I'm in DC and even I heard that. Sorry. Start swimming now while the current is in your favor.
Not shocking. What is girly so anxious to do in NYC tonight? What did I miss?
Random - but I was just asked to be a hand model tomorrow. I guess we are filming footage of this touch screen/corporate application thing we have for promo stuff, and they need a hand model to do all the stuff on film. Somehow they chose me. So tomorrow I get to sit in a room with a videographer for 3 hours doing this. If it wasnt official before, it is now, I am officially jack of all trades for this company lol.
But on the bright side - they are paying for me to get a manicure tonight! Which i needed to do for the wedding on Sunday anyway.

What a great deal! And they probably chose you because your fingers are so lovely and long.
Tinky, Girly is seeing 'Priscilla..." tonight...well if she has a row boat that is.
You guys be mean!!
Yeah, Tink...PRISCILLA! I am so flippin' excited.
About a month ago my friend sent a text asking if I had interest in seeing Arcardia. So I replied yep. Then he confirmed back with a date of March 8 a couple weeks ago for that. And then proceeded to ask if I was interested in seeing something on the 10th, too. But he never mentioned what show. So I suspiciously texted back asking which one. And he answered with Priscilla. He knew damn well, I was not turning that down!! This came a day or two AFTER I bought my ticket to see it with framily. LOL!!

At least the show will go on....so far anyway.
Good God - everyone stay safe.
We have reverted to normal weather for the time being - but you have my sympathies and concern!
Stay dry all!
A day of weather - we are getting hit by a wind storm and the bridge I cross is quite backed up. I hope they don't close it - which they do if winds get over 45/50 mph. Then I'm never getting home.
Good morning, kids. I went to bed very early last night and just caught the news -- scary stuff.
Terrifying news.
Saying prayers.
To our west coast friends - Please do all you can to stay safe! Much love!
My FB status - sharing here:
Please join me in prayer for the countless lives in Japan impacted by the horrific earthquake. Also, please pray for all who live on the US west coast and the impending tsunami. I dearly love many friends in the path of these aftershocks and tsunami waves. May we join cyber hands and send prayers and help to all who need it.
I hope you don't mind, Addy, but I copied your FB status in mine as well.
Mornin'
How is everyone on this coast holding up?
Happy Friday peeps! Many prayers are being said today for those lost lives in Japan and that there are no after shocks or Tsunamis on our side of the world.

Morning, all!
Watching and waiting with hope for those in the west. Watching live coverage in Hawaii. Not bad, so far.
Japan stuff is very scary. Our head of IT (my dreamboat Australian) is supposed to be flying to Japan tomorrow night. His fiance (grrr lol) is from there, and they are going to do their ceremony over there, and then do the US one later this year. So far everyone for her family is ok, but is still very scary.
As for East Coast - pretty bad flooding in my parts. I came into work but will probably be leaving soon. Our parking lot is completely flooded and both street entrances to the building are starting to fill. I was able to get down the highway, but by tonight that will all be under too.

Wow - pretty scary stuff over there We're far inland and over 1000 feet in elevation, so the waves aren't an issue for us. Plus, they seem to be primarily worried about central Cali up through Oregon - although, as Moony pointed out, the effects felt in Hawaii have been minimal.
I must admit that an 8.9 quake gives me pause for thought. They've had massive ones now down in S. America along the 'rim', and now this. We may live inland, but it's at the convergence of three substantial faults - and we're only a few miles from the infamous San Andreas.
However, those thoughts only have to do with what could happen, not what already has - which is devastating in its scope
It seems after the Tsunami in South East Asia everyone just becomes extra cautious when there's an earthquake now. I'm sure all will be well. I am rather optimistic with these things.
Now where the heck is Girly? I did get a text last night during intermission saying she was really enjoying it..actually it said "Loving it!!!!!"
Still riding the bus home? I fear for her safety if she didn't like it.
I copied the copy...
I hope everyone is safe. We are not close to the water to be impacted, but I have a few friends in Santa Monica, so who knows...
Mother Nature is pissed.
Blame Taymor.
