Thanks DD
The rug actually was a gift from a friend whose father had to get rid of stuff in his house. He offered, and after getting it cleaned, it turned out beautiful.
It is about 40 years old, and the colors are great. I was lucky!

YWIW - sometimes, the choices are obvious.
This would be one of those times.
Tink - did you actually do the Times Square thing? I did that once. Wasn't really fond of people throwing up on me.
That's why I did it ONCE.

Posted: 1/1/08 at 9:20pmoh no no, DG. You should know already that I have no tolerance for people, let alone a crowd like that. I'd be in jail or the hospital! A friend of mine lives on 35th, so we got to be there but far enough from the crazies. We could hear it all, that was pretty cool, watching the tv broadcast and hearing it in like stereo!

That actually sounds like a good time, Tink.
Except for the commute, of course.
Especially when you have to wait for someone to get ready

haha, yeah, but he's like no matter where we are going!
Commute was suprisingly not bad. We parked in Hoboken and took the Path in and out. It was no more crowded then normal Christmas shopping season, just a bit drunker. The craziest commute into the city I have ever experienced was for the 98 yankee's world series parade. Now that was one packed train full of many drunk people!!
