Thanks, Deet - I knew you'd love that. I have another student story that will not be so amusing, but I'll send that out off the board to protect the innocent. Also they don't let you post certain words here.
I got invited to NYC in January last night. Trying to choose my dates for travel. Whatch me get snowed out or iced out no matter which date I choose. Well, there's always Starbucks to duck into...
Mornin' Peeps! No, Moony, I said early February.

I may HAVE to do both, babe. Speaking of which - Sunday in the Park in February?
Sure.
hey! Don't forget about me!
Do I have to give you the "collective we" speech again, Tinkerbell?
just checking....they don't always give you warning when they vote you off the island.
We've never voted anyone off of this island.
A couple of people have gotten so sick of us that they built rafts out of bamboo and paddled off of the island, but we never voted them off!
I got on a big ol' city bus after therapy and was back in the office about 75 min later. That's faster than it normally takes me! You just never know how these things are going to work.
It looks pretty outside but I'd rather be watching it from home than work!

Of course, what Shamey doesn't say, Tink is that sometimes we help push the bamboo raft off into the water and wave a fond farewell.
And shoot flaming arrows at it, but whatever.

Not gonna fit, Tink. Believe me, I've tried. Learn to paddle fast.
RobbO is still somewhere adrift off the Pygmy Islands.

Well, that fits. Literally.
Let's face it, his lack of hygiene was becoming a real problem.
AND he was losing his marbles.
Edit: I'm so gonna regret saying marbles, aren't I?

I'll never forget the moment in CASTAWAY when Mr. Hanks was revealed years later on that island. I already loved him, but that took it to a whole different level!
Unfortunately, I HATED the movie.
I liked parts of it. I do think it seemed like an accurate portrayal of what it would be like to be stranded for that long.

I hated it, too, but I admired Hanks' performance. That doesn't make sense, but I'm a mess today.
I do like Robb O's highlights.

Shamey - I agree. My BIG problem was with the ending - WHAT THE HELL WAS IN THAT DAMN BOX?!?!?!?
And it's almost impossible for me not to love Hanks in anything. He stole my heart in SPLASH, and has had it ever since.
It's amazing what they can do with glue on hair, isn't cuz?

Yes, your's is particularly fetching.
DG, I know, it was like Rosebud all over again!
I don't think anything could've lived up to the hype. My guess is that you were supposed to focus more on the drawing on the outside of the box because that's what kept him from opening it.
I think they should have had her open it at the end and find a satellite phone.
