Oh, I've stepped on her a few times, Tink.

But, my mom was going to take a nap, so she put her up on the bed and reached down to pick up the other dog, when the puppy decided to jump off.

Girly - it's . . . coming. We've still got a week to go, though, so I'm not TOO worried!

And, DD - be sure to research Dalmations first. I remember reading a lot about families who went and got them after the live-action 101 DALMATIONS came out, and they were mostly getting returned or abandoned. Apparently they are pretty high-strung. I've never had one, but I do remember reading about that, at the time.

DG- I've heard that they can me quite nasty, so just be careful that the breeder you get it from has clean lines (i.e. no inbreeding, etc.). Otherwise, they can be nice dogs.

The main issue with Dalmatians is hearing problems, which can lead to what is misunderstood as "trouble" dogs, which is unfortunate. They just can't hear you. And good breeders will not breed dogs with that genetic issue, though it can still show up.
