Holy Crap! The Cs will finally get to see Rent. I think my disdain for the horrible non-Equity tour is well documented on BWW!
And, I was just so grumpy!
Glad I could cheer you up a bit!

I'd help you out there, but looks like Photobucket's been blocked. Hm. I'll have to figure out a new way to post virtual drinks/food, etc.

Girly - photobucket is working for me.
I saw A TALE OF TWO CITIES tonight.
If I hadn't been with someone who had a friend in the cast it would have been A TALE OF ONE CITY.
'nuff said.
Yeah, it's working for me here at home, alas not at work. I think the IT guys are playing games with me.

D2 - sorry for your bad experience A friend did some of the orchestrations, so I was hoping this would be good enough to get him some money. It doesn't look likely, from what I'm hearing.
I really wanted to like it - and it isn't awful in a PIRATE QUEEN kind of way. It just has no personality of it's own - very derivative, and not just of LES MIS. There isn't a musical in the last 50 years that isn't represented on that stage. I really wanted to judge it on it's own merits, but it has no merits of it's own to judge. It's polished, the cast is attractive and are working their butts off, but nevertheless it feels stifling and lifeless.
Thank you, D2, for saving me another $250-$500 and giving me back hours of my life.
At least I didn't pay anything - they're papering like crazy.
Yeah, but when I die and go to Mount Olympus, Clio the Demi-Goddess will not say, "I am returning to you the four hours you wasted seeing ATOTC, Miss Pennywise. You may go back to earth. Have a nice brunch or something."
Then again, perhaps Clio would.
But Melpomene wouldn't.
