Any fun plans this weekend???
Shameless - wow FUN! Maybe I will drive out to Joliet for a day! LOL
hiya adults... brief visit this morning. I hope everyone's doing well...
Oh that sounds like a trip I could use right about now, shamey... Bon voyage!
I want to go with shamey... I have softball all weekend again.
brd...I've driven through Joliet..maybe next time I'll stop. You should drive to Bloomington-Normal..that's a rockin' town.
Some day, you all have to make it down to South Florida and I'll get my father to take us on a BWW cruise.
I'd much rather take the six - hour boat trip than the one - hour flight. I guess I'm not as adventurous as I used to be.
I think I'm going bowling.
*packs to visit shamey*
Boobs honey.. Love the avatar. Thats my girl.
EEk! Thunderstorms!
*hides under covers*
*kisses Cookie and gives him more coffee*
Hi, DD!
Dame, who are you rooting for next week?
Shamey, that sounds like a GREAT trip! Have FUN! One of my favorite trips ever was sailing the BVI's... *sigh*
Bowling, Cookie? I might have to come watch!
*makes room*
I LOVE thunderstorms... miss them! We don't get many out here.
DD, come join us!
I like thunderstorms, too... as long as I'm inside and can be cozy.
Me too DD ... sex during thunderstorms ...
Sex kind of IS a thunderstorm!
Bam, crash, the lightning flashed!
Yes Addy ... and when two booms collide!
negative charges from the changes in pressure in the storm clouds gravitate towards the positively charge earth, in which all electrical matter is grounded. The result is the huge disparity in static generated, resulting in a flash of light from the clouds to the ground (or anything high up that will ground that flow of energy). Given that light travels faster than sound, lightning is always seen before hearing the thunderclap.
Yes Dame....I love KAT !!!
the lightning hit my window here that my right eye sees spots right now...it kind of hurts.
*joins cookie and addy*
*stands by window*
*passes hot chocolate to Addy and DD*
And I guess that's why
They call it the blues
Time on my hands
Could be time spent with you
Laughing like children
Living like lovers
Rolling like thunder under the covers
And I guess that's why
They call it the blues
Boom, boom, boom
Let's go back to my room

I can still hear my Mom singing "Pennies from Heaven" to us whenever there was a thunder storm..I find myself singing it now. It always seemed to calm the storm..well her 4 kids that is.
