It's been snowing for a while up by me. I'm contemplating leaving shortly, since I need to make a pitstop on the way home.

Yeah, I just realized that I haven't been to Cold Stone in New York since I started hanging out with Tink. Poor kid!

Posted: 2/12/08 at 3:10pmwell it isn't a lot of snow out here yet but it's icy...already one accident on the main road by my job. Only perk of living close to work, a little less to worry about, but then again I live on a hill so that could suck

Hi Guido. I hope you are well and happy.
I'm alive - barely. It was a complete nightmare trying to get home tonight. EVERYTHING - roads, sidewalks, even the grass, is covered with a thickening coat of glassy ice. I managed to get about 5 miles from home on the train but the bus I take home from there stopped running. I managed to get another one that got me about a half mile from home and then I was on my own. If I could get to the grass, I had to dig my heels into the grass and dirt in order to get a foothold. When I couldn't avoid the concrete, I literally got down on my knees and crawled. Between two big falls and all the crawling I managed to destroy my shoes and pants. I don't want to even think about going outside again until the spring. (Bears know what they're doing with all that winter hybernating stuff)

Posted: 2/12/08 at 8:22pmYeah Tink - but a soak in a hot bubble bath is sounding really good right now! Anyway, I need to soak my hands. I found out that my gloves are all torn up too and I've got lots of bits of gravel in my palms. What fun.

Oh, Mamie! Thoughts of a bubble bath hit the spot. I am not long home from the gym and the muscles are starting to stiffen. Alas, I have no tub for said bubble bath.

Oh Mamie, that's horrible! Glad you got home safe and sound finally!
I wound up leaving at 3:30 and it took me two hours, pitstop included. A trip that would've taken about an hour, if that. The last few miles, the car was really slipping around even driving in the low gear. I was so happy to pull into my driveway.
