The boots - i actually wore them on several occassions until i could get somewhat combat looking boots from like Bradlees.

Really? The power flickered about a half hour ago, but it never went out. Interesting.
Edit: We would be okay anyway because we bought a big mobile generator after Hurricane Wilma, but thanks.

Hello Shamey, Girly, Tink and All!
Everything is fine here in Atlanta. We had a stormy night last night - a screen blew off one of the windows on the house, but no damage. Work is keeping me busy, of course, but it's okay. I'm looking forward to vacation that starts next Thursday.

Shamey - ok, so the outage is due to two nuclear reactions automatically shutting down. They say it's all safe, but for some reason nuclear reactors automatically shutting down makes me a bit uncomfortable.

I can understand that, DD. The nearest plant is a good 75 miles south of me.
