We cancelled classes at 12:35 but most are still here. A number of parents have called to say they don't want their kids to drive in the snow (then WHY did you let them drive in this morning, Mom?)and others have to wait until their parents get out of work. It's controlled craziness here. B

y the way - it turned to rain @ 15 minutes ago.

I've always found that those are least affected by the weather are the ones with the power to make the decisions whether to close or not. In HS, the Brothers lived on the top floor of the school, where I teach now the decision makers live across the street.

We have few snow days. Mayor Bilandic lost he job about 20 years ago because the streets were not plowed in a timely fashion. Now, the plows are on the street if there is a flurry.

The snow got really light there for a while and I thought it was going to stop - but it's going full force again now. I'm just extremely happy I came home from work when I did! (And even happier that I don't have to go to work on icy roads tomorrow).

They are all well. Mrs. Brd is shooting a commercial tomorrow - no big money, but good for her ego and every buck counts.

C14 took the high school entrance exam. We will hear the results in Feb. C9 will get all A's again! He is one smart kid.

Are you mourning Rent? Or, is it time to go?

Saw Rent about 10 years ago, loved it. Still do, but its time has come. Give it 15 years and revive it as a period piece.
