I rarely go into the park, Girly. I like my nature through windows or in picture books. But I'm going to have to go out to drop off the dry cleaning, and then take my ridiculously expensive, piece-of-s*** electric razor to the service center to see if said 3-month old piece-of-s*** can be fixed before I leave for LA next week.
And if you hadn't gathered, Deet's no longer so happy.

Deet, I'd be in the park on the nice days. You're right there!!
Can't you just take the razor back where you bought it? Isn't the warranty usually good for a year on something like that?

Quick greetings. Running to do errands and help take my Dad to some appointments.
Happy Saturday. Stay cool.
...and dance!

Posted: 6/28/08 at 12:11pmThe warranty is good for two years, but I bought it online directly from Norelco. I either take it to the service center or ship it back to Norelco. Right at the moment I'd like to just hurl it through the window.

I think my hair would have it's own zip code if it wasn't literally drenched right now. I hate me and my sweaty self.
How weird...I got to the shop where I work at... Gate was up, and on the inside, the lights were on, AC going, etc. But the outside door was locked, and no one was inside. Sometimes I think my boss is about thisclose to losing her mind...

Chris lost, but ehh, he tried, I'll let it pass.
I sat out of the deck for an hour and read a book while tanning. Stupid me wasn't paying attention to my short legnths and how I was sitting, so now my legs have two different tan lines, lol.
yeah, hair is big like texas today.

"We shant get started on Duane Reade last night."
This little tidbit was innocently dropped in conversation by Cheffy - and it is exactly the type of thing I was hoping for
Now, we just need to get her to drop some really good dirt!
We enjoyed WALL-E very much (JG2 - how did you make your 'bullit' for that?!?) He is almost unbearably cute, and the visual feast is quite sumptuous. I'll be curious to see how word-of-mouth goes on this. It's definitely a bit of a risk, as it's a somewhat unconventional style for that genre. Plus, it's rather scathing when it comes to the humans, and there's a signifigant portion of our population that really doesn't have a sense of humor when it comes to themselves!
The theatre was PACKED (for every showing,) and they actually WATCHED the movie - and responded appropriately and enthusiastically - AND stayed all the way through the credits, to end with a rather long ovation.

Ehehe, I'm glad you caught that, DG. I thought someone might. I'll only say that it was a little birthday night "naughty food" splurge for Shira.
And I'm curious about Wall-E. I honestly hadn't heard that much about it. I mean, I've heard of it, but I didn't realize it was going to be such a big thing... I may get around to it, but I might be back in NC before that happens.

"I'm glad you caught that, DG"
As Shira will probably tell you, very little escapes the FG eye - and we NEVER forget
By the way, I've decided that saying 'fairy godfather' takes just a little too long - I'm going to go with the somewhat shortened 'Fairy God'.

Posted: 6/28/08 at 1:24pm"Fairy God" is so appropriate. I mean, if Shira considers herself a queen (as if she was anything less), her "higher ups"/protectors would only be Gods!

Ahahaha, very true, Girly.
And yes, there really is very little dirt. I think Shira pretty much shares it all on here anyway.

Why does a person come into a (small) retail store and pick up the phone and call someone, just to chit-chat? I mean, seriously, what is it with people and their cell phones? And talking about absolutely nothing...
I guess I shouldn't complain about finally having customers here, but quality is much more important than quantity.

Cheffy - my partner (known around here as the 'TinMan' - who most people would tell you is MUCH nicer than I am) has an interesting way of dealing with cell-phone users/abusers. He responds to what they're saying, while they're conversing. Loudly.
It's interesting to see the reactions when people realize someone has burst into their own little 'bubble'

"Fairy God" .... um, I think I will stick with FGF.
And SC, having FGFs can be both a blessing and a curse.
Glad you liked the movie DG - it has been getting very good word of mouth.

DG - Tinman sounds like a great catch, there. Fortunately, the lady was fairly quiet, at least in comparison to most cell phone abusers.
YWIW - I'll take the curses, FGFs sounds fantastic. :) But then again, I'll try just about anything at least once.
Blah, our little AC window unit really needs to work better. I'm getting sweaty-nasty again (not that it takes much for me).
