one of my close friend's bday is today.

I do not have a good track record with Vday's. Every year whatever Chris and I would try would get thwarted by sickness, work, father falling off a ladder, alien attacks, etc. And I always let him off the hook and told him to give me the cheesy gifts the next day when he could buy them 50% off, which meant I got double the presents :)
