Hey everyone. I'm a bit late to the party. Did I see that Rath posted here today??!!

Cheeze!! Taboo!!

The Legend of Leigh Bowery was on Showtime, right? My friend taped it for me, but I haven't watched it yet. Keep forgetting it's sitting there. Is it good?

Raul was a phenomenal Philip Salon!! My friend fell in love with him. After all, what's not to love about a guy strutting around in blue eyeshadow and a wedding dress, right?

Lucien Freud wasn't in the show other than a mention or two between Leigh Bowery and Big Sue.

What I wouldn't give to see the show live again. ::sigh::

Girlie - it's very good! Thanks for the info. Bowry got so crazy toward the end of his life that it is kind of hard to watch towards the end. His performance pieces just got too unreal. I really liked getting to know the people in his life also.

The Boy did not talk enough about their relationship and how Leigh brought him into "the scene" as it were, and the stuff about Taboo (the musical) as well as the Rosie O' stuff must have been edited out for some reason, as they were mentioned in the guide description but were not actually a part of the film.

Other than that - it is really an amazing documentary. Philip Salon is such a loon! lol. I wish I had been fortunate enough to see the show.

I think the real Philip would scare me! I can't remember if it was in a print interview with Raul or his response to a line in a review about him. They said something about Raul playing Philip too over the top. His response was along the line of them obviously having never met the real one, if they thought he (Raul) went overboard.

I must watch that tape. Maybe tonight.

Hey Miss P., welcome back belatedly.

I just got some cat antibiotic today and smeared it all over hear cut - so hopefully that will alleviate any near-term guilt I may have.
