C, what up? How was your weekend?
Lazy weekend. Lots of hanging out with friends. And escaping the heat at the movies too.
I need to be where Hepster is now...

The wife and kids saw Pirates and John Tucker. They liked both movies.
Where did girly disappear to?
The Lady in the Water was quite disappointing...
There is a medical waste disposal company here with the name 'Sweeney Todd'. I saw one of their trucks parked downstairs this morning. It seemed appropriate on the day the closing notice went up.
I'm here. Thinking about heading up to bed. So don't want to go to work tomorrow.

I really hate doing this - but can anyone here help me with some info...
There's an older gentleman living in my neighborhood who is suffering from a number of illnesses and who I've been trying to help out with errands and such. As his health has been deteriorating, his overall debt is growing. Now he's convinced that he's going to die and leave his family with a horrendous debt to repay.
The things is - he really has no immediate family members. He has no wife or children, just a married brother. If he should happen to pass while in debt, would his creditors go to his brother and nephew for collection? I'd like to reassure him on this but I have no idea what the laws are.

The debts pass to his estate. Lateral heirs (siblings) have no exposure to his debt unless they share title to property which would also be a part of his estate.

That's good to know. I really do think he's in pretty bad shape and this would help ease his mind a little. Thanks!
Thank goodness for the on-the-board lawyer here!
I hear ya, girly!
That is so odd, Hepster! A medical waste disposal company? The founder must be a Sondheim fan!

The bug that came in on my leg when I went out to water my flowers is on my t.v. screen. I wondered where it went. Have to go find a tissue.

Mamie - just a suggestion. Tell him to sign up with the Neptune Society. They'll cover all the expenses of death - which add up quickly. At least no one will have to deal with that aspect.
