Well... he's not known for his insightful reviews, and he's taken with a grain of salt from most around town. I'm bummed the Times won't come to see the show until this weekend.
It really is a good, thought provoking show. And I think the performances are excellent. People who have seen the play agree. Let's just say I hope it doesn't keep people from coming.
AHHHH!! I just remembered to check my Jersey Cash 5 ticket from Sunday and I had 4 out of 5 of the numbers! $442! I hope there's not a misprint in the paper.

Good for you, Girly! I actually hope there IS a misprint, and you actually matched all FIVE!
Woo-hoo!!! That's awesome! Congrats.

yay!!! The lottery doesn't like me, so I don't bother.
DD - The plot of the play seems very interesting actually. The reviewer is a bubblehead. I hope the Times is more open-minded.
Thanks! Sure, everyone come on over!
The lottery website says the same thing, so...
I use to buy tickets regularly, not bunches a day like I've seen some people do, just a couple. Then I got out of doing that and sporadically buy a couple here and there if I think of it.

It's interesting... one part of the play (1959) goes forward, and the other (1931 - flashbacks) are told in reverse.
I'll be there for dinner, girly!
I get addicted to the scratch offs, and then become really upset when I don't win anything. It's not a pretty scene, so I stay away.
Oh DG, if I had matched all 5, that'd be 55,650. I would've been at a car dealership tonight.
Tink, I have to stay away from scratch offs, too. Once in a while I'll let myself buy a few. When I bought this ticket the other day, I let myself get two scratch offs. Lost on both of them.

I don't do scratch offs either. I play lotto every now and then, I figure someone's got to win, so why not me, right?
And what would you have gotten at the dealership?
The police chief in my hometown hit a few months ago for a few million. My grandparents once hit for about 10,000 or so in the early 90's. Me? I think the most I got was $5.00.
That's a good question. I haven't really been paying too much attention to what's out on the road these days. As long as they don't hit me. I'd have to do some research.

And when living in NJ, making it home without a scratch on the car is a blessed event! lol!
I am jonesing for a new car. Again.
I just need to fix the one I have. It still relatively new and in overall great condition, I am just horrible with maintenance, lol! Hubby got a new one over the summer. Finally got him out of boyhood muscle cars (only took 5 years).
congrats girly
you'll need it, after reading your beef comment, the cows and hippo ran off with your rent dvd, and all your adam, euan and daniel cd's =P
now that's just too cruel!
Morning peeps !!! Coffee is now being served. I just one to enjoy 1 cup before starting w*rk.
Girly..CONGRATS !!! So should I start packing my bags?

Good Morning Adults!
Hi ya Soapy !!! Hope all is well with you.
Same to you.I'm actually doing pretty well.
Good morning everybody.
Well, I'm convinced now that I am well and truly JINXED.
The last two times I planned trips to NY I told everyone about it and then had things come up which caused me to cancel the trips. This time I decided to go ahead and plan the trip but NOT TELL ANYONE! I figured if I hid the info from the big jinx monster* then everything would work out and I'd actually get there. Alas, it was not to be.... I have been home sick for the last week and a half with double pneumonia. I'm in so much pain right now that I can't even lean over to feed the cat. (She's eating off the coffee table right now!)
Anyway - I just got finished cancelling my hotel and train reservations. I still have my theatre tickets - all of which are non-refundable. I have a ticket for the Follies concert (matinee on Saturday) which I will gladly mail to anyone who wants it IF they let me know before the mailman comes this afternoon. I think I can get it to you before Saturday if I mail it today.
I also have a ticket for Drowsy Chaperone on Saturday night and The Vertical Hour on Sunday afternoon. These are both etickets and I'll be happy to pass them on to anyone who asks.
Now I'm going to go back to the sofa and my heating pad and start crying again.
*jinx monster - I've spent most of my 'down' time watching my Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD's. It shows.
(I'm never going back to NY again)
Mamie..I'm so sorry..I hope you're feeling better real soon. Pneumonia really kicks the crap out of you..believe me, I know. Try to stay in bed and rest as much as you can...otherwise it just lingers.
Miss you.
