Hiya adults.
Just got back from getting the estimate on my car, and surprisingly, it's quite inexpensive to replace the front fender, way below my deductible.
Talking of lunch... I just ate breakfast.
I'll get you for that.

Haha! "God will get you for that Walter".
Someone just gave me an Orchid and I have NO idea how to take care of it. Oy.
I killed one, Cheeze. Good luck.
Good news about the car, DD.

Orchids are very pretty. I try to be nurturing but I end up killing any type of plant in my posession.
like a "live" orchid or just the flower?
Of course, I also killed a cactus. Now how difficult could it possibly be to keep one of those alive??

A live "in the pot" Orchid. It's very pretty - white and prple with traces of pale green. I have other plants in my cube, which is why I am sure it was passed to me. The "gardner" switched out all the plants today and this one got left behind - so I ended up with it.
It's seems to be looking at me like it knows I am talking about it.
Girly - oy.
Tink - I have pretty good luck with most things green - except I did date a toad for a while.
DD - That's great about the car!
Well... I killed an aloe plant, so I'm with you on that one, girly.
cheeze - as far as I know, you don't want to water it, for one, but mist it. At least that's what I've always been told. Then again, re-read the first sentence of this post.
Oh, you better look online. I was just looking at an orchid care site and it said not to get the leaves wet.

Have you named it Audrey II yet (I hope that was the name of the Little Shop plant)?

I will Girly - definately.
Funny you should say that Tink - I just clipped a plant yesterday that was growing like mad. It had grown all the way down to the floor from the top of my coat closet in my cube, and was starting to go around the corner. My cube neighbor kept saying "Feed me!" everytime she walked by. I just snapped it at a joint and took it home so it could get roots and start a new life, and already the plant at work is sprouting from where I clipped it.
Re cactus and aloe - I bet they were over watered.
On the orchid good luck after its finished flowering I believe it goes through a dormant phase and then you need to change the temperature or such around it to trigger it again. I say enjoy the bloom and when it goes if you really liked it buy another one.
Re cactus and aloe - I bet they were over watered.
Who knew?
Well, apparently Kansas, but not I.
That is too funny Cheeze!
After a lot of people got laid off here, they didn't take their plants. And I, of course, paid no attention knowing my history, so they are are all mostly dead. My boss is mad at me now, but he should've known better to think that I of all people would have been taking care of them.
Actually, I think I forgot to water it! Even though it was a cactus, it still needed water occasionally.

Not much, Kansas. So...are you guys up there ever going to send us better weather???
What this is great igloo weather, the dog team loves it. What's not to like.
Edit: Besides aren't you at about the same latitude?
