It's snowing out I mean really snowing yikes!
Yes, Boobs, I noticed that!
Hi DG! I loved the touring presentation of "The Light in The Piazza". It is in good shape. I am writing a mini review for the main board.

Jungle - good to hear, and I'll look for your review.
North - I'll be nice and keep my mouth shut about our weather here today
Go ahead DG. Let me know it's warm and sunny somewhere.

OK - 73 degrees, sunny, light breeze, virtually no humidity.
But it's only like that most of the time
It's beautiful here in the Big Apple too..sun is shining and there's a light cool breeze...they say it will get colder tonight..but right now it's simply beautiful.
Lets see 3 degrees (38F). Winds from the north with on and off heavy flurries/squalls/snow. Fortunately the ground is too warm for it to stick around.
I have a window open.
I love that I can open windows here!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, Kansas!
Actually - I just bought my first Christmas (Holiday?) CD of the year. "Cool Yule" by Bette Midler is outstanding. The orchestrations are beautiful and I love her song selection. The song "Cool Yule" has a jazzy, big band sound to it and Bette does a nice duet of "Let it Snow" / "Winter Wonderland" with Mr. Christmas - Johnny Mathis. I know it is not even Halloween, yet, but I think this CD will be a real instant classic.
Boobs / Rath - Seeing as my weather is probably heading your way, you are going to have a lovely warm NOT weekend
You're right, Kansas, it is predicted to be very cold here this weekend.
no mention of snow here though kansas..I welcome the cooler weather.
Jungle...my copy of Yule is on it's way as we type. Might even be there when I get home.

Jungle - did Barry produce this one of Bette's, as well?
Sounds like a great CD.
Sheesh... snow already... we're enjoying our Indian Summer.
Boobs - You will love this CD! Two other favorites are "I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm" - very Dean Martin - and "Mele Kalikimaka" which honors the Aloha State where Bette grew up. Her Christmas version of "From a Distance" is very poignant.
DG - No, Barry did not produce this CD, but it seems to be in the same style of the Rosemary and Peggy CDs. Robbie Buchanan is the producer.
Hi DD! Happy Indian summer to you, sir!
Boobs one of the joys of living in area surrended by the Great Lakes. N and NE winds = snow off Lake Huron. S and SE winds = snow off lake Erie. (Winter months only 99.9% of the time)
Hiya jungle!
I'm hoping the predictions are wrong and that we'll actually get some snow in the mountains this year. Last year the ski resorts opened the first weekend in November. *sigh*
It's in the 70s here today - lovely - but a front is supposed to come through and we will dip down to a high of 60 on Saturday. Sweater time!
Jeez kansas..seems you can't escape it....unless you pay us a visit.
Jungle..I just pre-ordered Sarah McLachlan's holiday CD...she does some beautiful songs on it...well as soon as I saw she sings John Lennon's War Is Over....I hit the pre-order button.

Boobs - speaking of Lennon, have you heard Dolly sing "Imagine"? It was used as part of a pre-show set for the CORPUS CHRISTI we saw, and I was BAWLING by the end of it!
DG..I even have the CD that Dolly sings it on..look at this list....love this CD...
1. Those Were The Days
2. Blowin' In The Wind
3. Where Have All The Flowers Gone
4. Twelfth Of Never
5. Where Do The Children Play
6. Me And Bobby McGee
7. Crimson And Clover
8. The Cruel War
9. Turn, Turn, Turn
10. If I Were A Carpenter
11. Both Sides Now
12. Imagine
Boobs - I will have to check out Sarah's new CD - love her!
DG - I saw Dolly sing 'Imagine' on her last tour through town. She included that song on her last CD of 60s folk tunes - "Those Were the Days" - if you want to have a recording of it.
