Hey, DD - it won't do any good if you don't get to sleep

Posted: 9/16/06 at 12:52pmBleh. I should be in the city right now, settling in to watch The Tragic Life of the Singing Nun or whatever the heck that festival show is called. It starts at 1. Instead I'm sitting in my recliner. I just could not get motivated this morning. I have another show at 4:30, then one at 8:00. I should really think about getting ready to leave.

It's been a while...
Last rehearsal in the hall we were using for 'The King and I' was today, 10am to 4pm, tomorrow I'm in the theatre from 2:30 until 8pm, and Monday is a dress rehearsal at show time - 8pm. Tuesday is the opening night, and from then on it's fun, fun and more fun! Not looking forward to all this fake tan business though! Especially of what my friends will think ('Oh, what a fag')!
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

Posted: 9/17/06 at 12:06amGot my act together and made it to the other shows. The one at 4:30 was eh, but I really liked Desperate Measures. Have I ever mentioned that I think Max Von Essen is a cutie? He was looking especially fine on stage in tight jeans and western shirt. I adored him as Alfred in Dance Of The Vampires. Spoke to him briefly at Euan's Bay Street concert this past July. Nice guy.

Posted: 9/17/06 at 12:24pmGirly, I saw a reading on Desperate Measures at the Festival of New Works at the Village Theater here in Seattle last year. I thought it was great fun. Glad to see that they've continued working on it.

We're about to take off, so just want to say goodbye to my adult friends. Don't know if I'll check in at some point - don't know if I'll want to
Have a great week, and stay safe!
The link is where we'll be - darn.
