I got that, Boobs, I'd been reading along.

My 9-11 story isn't very interesting. It involves me sitting on the couch, eating my cereal and watching GMA before a class, as usual. Then sitting in front of the TV for the next three days in total shock.

No RobbO...the jackasses kept making announcements that there would be a "delayed" opening...us workers had other thoughts as we marched right past them and out of the building. I was lucky to get out when I did because they actually locked the exchange down after I got out. Seems when the 1st tower came down people started running into the exchange off the streets and they feared that there were bombers on the streets trying to get inside. Poor people who were stuck in there. Of course it filled up with smoke and stuff and they had no clue what was happening outside.

thanks boobs. i was wondering because against my better judgment i am watching the "as it happened" coverage of 9-11-01 on cnn. just before 9:30 a.m. on that day, cnn reported that the market would suspend trading and i was wondering if it ever even began between the time the first and second plane hit.

No..they 1st announced "delayed" opening after they realized that the 1st plane wasn't a little plane which they 1st suspected. We all watched on TV as the second plane approached and as it hit we heard and felt the explosion...the idiots still announced..delayed opening.

girlie, i was going to watch the 9/11 documentary update last night on cbs but my partner and i are kind of exhausted with the coverage since we watched so many docs, docudramas and united 93 in the last few weeks.

watching the coverage unfold in real time on 9-11-01 is surreal as i was not able to on that day.
