True story. While on our first anniversay trip to St. Thomas with "the love of my life ex who dumped me" I bought a "love" vodoo doll. It is covered in expressions of love and affection all over it's body. On the night he left, I crossed out the "I will love you forever" written above the doll's groin area and I inserted a three inch hat pin and twisted it hard. It's still there. I hear he walks funny.

The UPS store does USPS too, and that's what I ended up doing. It's still ridiculous - at least twice what it costs for them to send this way. But 1/4 of UPS. The UPS man told me it's since 9/11 - for international UPS packages, they check everything at every stop everywhere - it's labor costs.

There isn't one close to me, so the lack of shlepping is worth a little extra cash. Not to mention not having to stand in line for an hour.
