Hi! Sorry... doing laundry, and getting Flat Stanley for his trip home tomorrow.

Opening was great. We had very nice crowds, and the shows have gone without a hitch. We have a great show, and I truly hope word of mouth gets lots of people into our small theater.

Three weekends. It's a very, very funny show. And our cast is superb. But there's A LOT going on right now, and it's out in the 'burbs. So who knows...

Those of a philosophical mind would say that those who need to see it will.

But that doesn't always pay the bills.

Get out there and sell that show!

Oh... we're trying. It's a small community theater, used to doing things a certain way, happy with what little people they get to see the shows, afraid of change. I redesigned the posters, made email flyers... we're getting the word out. But again, Seattleites are not likely to drive to Redmond (16 miles) to see a show.

DD - that's so funny - you KNOW how far we drive to see stuff! This weekend alone, just to take in three events on Saturday and Sunday, we put 360 miles on the car!

Well... the kicker is the people in the 'burbs will drive 30 and 40 miles to Seattle to see a show. But people from Seattle will not.

DD - try to get a dinner and show deal going with a local restaurant.

Or offer to drive them there yourself

He he... yeah, not so much!

Ok. I am so happy right now. My ex (and still very close friend) just opened "tick, tick... BOOM!" last week. First opening of his that I miss. And he got an amazing review in the Times on Friday. I am so happy for him! He's worked very hard to get this far...

Morning shamey and harris...scrambles eggs and bacon will done in a few. There will also be...white, rye and whole wheat toast. Grab a glass of OJ or tomato juice while you wait.
