I just put down ant traps, and sprayed with cat-friendly spray. At this point, I see a couple every few minutes, but I think I was able to nip it in the bud.

Damn, I hate ants.

I actually thought of you Miss P.

Luckily, these are the garden variety type, and do not bite. They seemed to be centered in the vanity/bathroom/bedroom door area. So, I am hoping lots of spray and a few traps will do the trick.

I actually vacuumed up a few of them.

Combat strips always work for me. You can buy them at the supermarket.

I am OK. I swear, that martini olive picture was like a perfect gift!

He seems OK now. Still eating bit and braying like a foghorn. It is just a bit of a waiting game now.

And, I think that is what I bought - they have two types of food now! I would spray the area with something good, but the cats are often around, so I have to be careful...

When I wake up in the middle of the night, I put some food down for him, just to make it as easy as possible to eat.

Things are fine, for the most part. I had such a good time with the kids in NYC. We spent a lot of time together, which always makes me happy. But the first day apart is hard. Starina called me at work and left a voicemail message saying she missed me. She was kind of crying, too. I felt awful.

I called CBC as soon as I had a chance (like 3 or 4 hours later!) and told him how terrible I felt about having to be at work and listening to Starina's plaintiff wail. He said, "Don't worry about it. As soon as she hung up, she was over it and on to something else!"

I've been coming home and falling asleep each night. Then I wake up about 11 and I'm wide awake!

Well, perhaps you should find a way to keep yourself awake until 11, and then go to sleep?

Not that I don't love chatting with you, but sleep is pretty darn important.

I completely agree with you, but I have learned that when I'm sleepy I should let myself go because if I force myself to stay awake, I'll get my "second wind" and have even less sleep!
