From J2: "It's only because I smile a lot. I'm really not that nice."
I don't believe him either.

A new car, a new place in Jersey, a place in the city, something in Costa Mesa/Newport Beach, unlimited theatre tickets and airline tickets/private jet. That's just to start. Luckily, I don't often get in these moods.
Didn't Passing Strange close already? Or is it this weekend?
Okay, off to bed. Night peoples!

Trust me, he does have his moments. But overall, Miss P is right on the money. And don't worry, DGG, you'll meet him one day.
Baddy, I would never, ever tell anyone not to see a show. But I was not a fan of PASSING STRANGE, if that means anything. And I really, really, really wanted to like it.

I just bought a book yesterday on houses in Provence.
There are incredible pictures of a sprawling ranch-style home, all in stone, nestled into a hill overlooking a typical 1300's French village toward the Mediterranian.
This house should be MINE!!!
Need I say more?

Can't I work because I want to and have someone else buy me the pretty things?
DG - I second you.

Posted: 7/16/08 at 10:53pmThanks for the advice D2. It hasn't been on my list of "want to sees" but Miss P and I are trying to decide on a show to see together and nothing is standing out.

Well, DG, considering I was all ready to make an offer on Vaux Le Vicomte last year, I certainly understand where you're coming from! I settled for a roof tile.
Shira, darling, no.

D2, I know what you mean. When everyone waxes effusive about Caldwell B. Cladwell, I always quote Carole Lombard who said, "Believe me, he's no 'Clark Gable' at home!"
I love that.
Re: Passing Strange. We have had ZERO interest in seeing this. (I have not liked any of the music I've heard.) But now that it's closing, we're wondering, "Should we see it just to decide for ourselves that we HATE it????"

CRAP!!!
YWIW - our schedules couldn't line up any worse, could they?!?
Oh, and just because - D2, I am pathologically addicted to the TinMan (which some here can attest to) so no worries.
At least not for the moment

I hope you love it as much this time as you did the first time, YWiW. I know we did!
ETA: Oh, I know, DG. No worries at all. But just in case, remember I have a cousin named Vinnie.

Well DG, we will find a way to meet when Shira is in town.
Ends up I got my early - early Friday's off - it is next Friday that I have to leave by 12:30 for the move. I am not sure what movie I will see, because I do want to see Mama Mia this Friday. But, maybe we could figure something out.
