Sunday evening greetings to the Adults.
Lovely to see so many wonderful friends last night, and to meet some new friends!
I missed seeing one friend, though... next time we'll have to set a better plan.
Wishing everyone a happy week. I hope it's filled with all things good and HEALTHY.

You're too sweet, Addie! I'm afraid I missed everybody. My niece can't handle stairs very well and on Friday, at "Wicked", she took a nasty tumble down the stairs. So we were being especially careful on Saturday. I'm guessing that by the time we got from our seats and over to the elevator, you all had gone. I spent a while out in front going back and forth trying to get a cab and I still never saw a single familiar face. (I thought 'did I get the date wrong?'!)

Mamie, I hope you and your niece had a wonderful weekend together. I'm just so sorry that we didn't see you...
Next time, we'll set the plan in advance, and everyone will just know where to go for a post-show drink!

Absolutely.
I told you - this weekend I fell in love all over again with Richard Rodgers and she fell in love with New York.
On Friday I had gone to Lincoln Center for South Pacific and she insisted on going on her own to Wicked. After I got back to the hotel I learned about her fall. She said all the people leaving the Gershwin formed a ring around her, which she said felt like a 'safety zone'. She said they all talked to her and were so concerned about how she was. She knew she was all right, but she just needed a few minutes to get her wits about her. She said two of the people there then asked her where she was staying and they walked her back to the hotel and made sure she got in all right.
The next morning she wanted to take a carriage ride around the park. She wasn't able to get into the carriage though. Two other drivers came over and made a special 'step' for her, with their locked hands. When we returned, they came back and helped her get down the same way. She looked at me and said "I just love New Yorkers! They're SO NICE!"

Posted: 7/20/08 at 8:41pmThat's wonderful. I'm sorry she had the fall, and the trouble getting into the carriage, but it's wonderful to hear that people came to her help. I really do think that the world is basically a good place. And, New Yorkers are among my favorites.

I just had quite an amazing dinner tonight at Ruby Foo's. An employee and friend of my college in North Carolina is up here for a few days, visiting alumni and current students interning in NYC. He's a total foodie, and I think I ate more than I have in a long time. It was niiiice.
Between him being up here and it being Restaurant Week, I have a feeling I'm going to have a LOT of good food this week (and next).

Good grief, Mamie - I'm glad she's ok!
And how WONDERFUL you got to see SOUTH PACIFIC!!
Everyone is being strangely quiet about last night. Perhaps this is one of those Facebook things that is better left out of the public eye

Haha, nothing has been posted on Facebook. I checked :)
Mamie - I'm glad she's okay. How scary!
I looked for you in the Mezz, but I didn't see you. Just so you know, you WERE thought of and missed!
*hugs* to DG.

I don't mind missing the fun - but I DO mind not getting e-mailed at least ONE illegal phone pic of the locker room scene!

Honestly, folks, it was all rather benign. Well, I shouldn't say that because I did not go out with the late-late-night crowd who went drinking after we left the restaurant. Who knows WHAT happened then!
OH WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! DG made me remember something. I am in possession of a photo that could spell D-I-V-O-R-C-E and S-C-A-N-D-A-L for two of the adults. You KNOW who you are!!!!

MissP - WHERE IS A PIC OF THE LOCKER ROOM SCENE?!?!?
I have priorities - can you tell?

I was not able to take a picture during the locker room scene, DG, because my hand was melded into SOMMSY's arm due to "spontaneous clutching" as soon as Cheyenne started "getting ready" to go home.

DG. All the men immediately had to put their hands in their laps, and all the women had to lift their jaws off the floor, so how could we use the phone?!
Miss P - Nothing too scandalous happened at the late-late night bash. Not that I remember, anyway
.
Picture? I wanna see the picture!!!
