"Some folks probably thought I was nuts"
Consider the source - and keep on dancing!
YWIW - saw DROWSY tonight, and if you're concerned about your memories of the previous production interfering with your enjoyment of the current production, all I can say is that J2 and I enjoyed it as much tonight as we did in New York two years ago.
We went to Hollyhock House this afternoon - what a gorgeous piece of architecture, and the renovation is superb.
Oh how I wish I could fly out there and see it again!

OMG, D2 - you're into architecture as well?!?
This is getting scary.
When you get back here - for WHATEVER reason - I need to take you to the Gamble House, among others in Pasadena (and elsewhere.)
Listen to me - assuming you haven't been there. But you haven't been there with ME, and that could be a WHOLE different experience
The renovation has assured that Hollyhock House will be around a while, so it will still be here the next time you come out, Miss P.

Ok - D2 is more 'spritely inciting' than I am.
And that's saying something!
No, DG - I haven't been to the Gamble House, so the next time I'm out here, we'll definitely go.
Any place with you would be a "whole different experience," DG!

Hehe, MissP
D2 - I am a REAL 'Arts and Crafts' fanatic, so the whole expression of that architecturally is somewhat of an obsession of mine (among MANY others ) The whole neighborhood around the Gamble is a treasure trove - INCLUDING a Wright that has recently undergone a renovation!
DAMN space and time.
Truly.
Wow - sounds fantastic DG - I've only recently begun to be fascinated by the Arts and Craft style and I'm dying to learn more. But yes, I am interested in architecture, and at one point when I was very young I thought abut becoming an architect. I don't really remember why I didn't.

Twins!
My background was in that field, which I abandonded when it all went to computerized work.
But, when I lived in Scottsdale, Taliesen West was my favorite 'hangout' (that's Lloyd Wright's western digs, for those not familiar.)
And we have MUCH to discuss concerning 'Arts & Crafts' - up to and including the Disney homage to the same. We were just sitting yards from the hotel they built honoring that very style!
I say again - DAMN space and time!
I can look and point and say "ohhh pretty" and "wow, neat" and "what really clean lines."
Other than that, the closest I have gotten to architecture is construction defect cases during my evil days as a litigation attorney.
I was one badass YWIW!

What do you mean 'was', YWIW?
I think we need a field trip. I'M the guide (pushy bitch, aren't I!) - but TRUST ME, you'll love it!
Another big fan of architecture. Hey, for years, I worked for the organization started by Buckminster Fuller!
Okay, I have to go pack now. J2 is giving me dirty looks.
But I'll be back.
Now I am a problem-solver - much better suited to my personality.
I can pull the badass hat out and wear it, but I always feel a bit icky afterwards.
Funny story - when interviewing all those years ago in law school, I was asked by a senior partner how I saw myself as an attorney - my answer - a piece of pipe, linking two other disjointed pipes and connecting them - i.e., a problem solver.
He said ... Well, I have always seen myself as a gunslinger.
Big surprise, I did not get that job.

OK, ok.
Jeez.
These spouses sure are pushy!
Oh, I'm one of them.
Nevermind.
Safe packing D2. Wave to J2 for me.
Night DG. Try to behave...

"Night DG. Try to behave..."
I'll just assume that's rhetorical.
Notice the word "try".

As D2 pointed out recently about someone else, I can be 'very trying'
I'm out myself.
*MWAH* to all.
And I'm back.
You're back???? It took me an entire evening to pack!!!
Well, I'm leaving some stuff for the morning - toiletries, etc... I also pack light and wash clothes as necessary.
By washing clothes I mean I send them out, of course.
Night D2 and Miss P!
