I'll just bet he is.
ETA: So yeah, Girly, it would be fun to go to Atria with you. Shira can come too.

What about that butter lady, Deet?

She was just so annoying! "Does this have butter in it? Was that made with butter? How much butter is used in this? How much butter in that? A touch of cream? Oh, no. Isn't there anything here that doesn't have butter?"
J2 wanted to throw a fork at her.

TGIF!
I had dinner with a friend last night - celebrating her birthday. We pigged out on fondue. YUM!
Two birthday dinners this week. Tuesday was with a friend at Cookshop (a favorite restaurant of his). It's been a highly enjoyable week of FOOD!
Am invited to a dinner gathering tonight, have plans for brunch with a few friends tomorrow and hope to get to CT for the day on Sunday to do a few errands and hopefully get to the point/beach for a nice walk!

I want Addy's social life.
Or at least her menu.

Oh please - this is the first time I've gotten out to have a life in AGES! (The fact that my clients are away this week for meetings helped...)
The food has been fabulous. I'd forgotten how nice it was to be out with friends!
Moony - we need to plan a food weekend!

Hello.
My brother arrives tonight with all his belongings, as he has decided to move to SoCal. And I just read that the latest unemplyment figure for Cali is 9.3%. Oy.
And the TinMan's mother has stopped eating, and has been taken off her meds. We're just waiting for the call.
I'd rather be going out to dinner with friends.

So you'll have company for a while, Q? Best of luck to him!
With regards to Tinman's mother - my father-in-law did the same thing when he went into the hospice center. We knew it was the end. Or so we thought. He's still there....and has resumed eating like crazy. He says he got bored with dying and changed his mind. The men in his family are very stubborn.

WELLLLL - he has financial backup for awhile, and knows he can only be here for a couple of weeks, as we have company scheduled all through March. I'll help him find a place, but then he's on his own!
And honestly, his mom is done - and it's WAY past time. She's literally a shell, with no cognition whatsoever. But, as I'm sure everyone knows, that doesn't mitigate the experience for the survivors.

Sorry to hear about the tinman's mom. It's difficult regardless ...
I'm taking my required day off today ... time to clean and do laundry, which I haven't done in over two weeks.

DD, is this part of the payroll reduction? That sucks. I took Monday off and did some necessary chores. Feels nice. I told Mrs. Brd that I wish that we both had a week off just to do house projects.
Q, sorry to hear about your mother in law! Very sad!

Nice to be able to get chores done...
I was changing a lightbulb in an overhead fixture, and the lightbulb broke in my hand. So, now I have to get an electrician in to get the base of the bulb out of the socket. (I'm handy - but not touching that! Electrical things are WAY out of my range!) I've been wanting to get a new light fixture for that space, so am wondering if I should just go ahead and buy something new and have the electrician come to install a new one, but, shopping for light fixtures is so difficult! Not sure I want to rush out...
Anyway, that's my thrilling update. NOT! LOL...

Posted: 2/6/09 at 2:18pmBWG, same here. We are going to dinner with two of our dearest friends at one of our favorite restaurants. We really need the diversion. Mrs. Brd is in a dispute with one of her crazy friends! Too much drama for me!

Q - I was just reading back, and am sorry to read about the TinMan's mother. That's never an easy situation...
Is it bad that I have no interest in finishing the project I have to finish today?
