Hey DD!

I like them both. Somehow, I even manage to make "ya'll" sound Jersey. That takes talent! welcome to the real world!
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

I have had enough of February winter weather!

Hubby is flying out of here in rain/sleet/snow tomorrow. He's a real white-knucle flyer, even under the best circumstances, but after last week's accident, he's REALLY nervous. I hope you're not getting bad weather in Chicago tomorrow, Brd - he's flying into Midway. They'll have to take him off the plane on a stretcher.
#4058

welcome to the real world!

Unfortunately lousy weather is expected all week! I will look for him on Channel 5.
#4060

I'd have to medicate hin to the point of blackout and he still has a 3 hour drive to Peoria. In bad weather.

Wow, bad weather and late mail. Chicago sucks in the winter.

It is actually a bright, sunny day! But cold!

welcome to the real world!

The firm's mail usually arrives at about 12:30.

What was the excuse of the bus company for their failure to provide transport last week?

welcome to the real world!

Backing up to Brd's bar exam story - I got my letter, and it was relatively thin (which was a good sign), and got a bottle of Tequila next to me with a shot glass just in case. I opened and the first emotion was relief, and then satisfactiono. I had moved back home after law school no money and no job at the time) and my mom was next door just holding her breath. I was just silent, enjoying the moment when she came back over to see what had happened. I think the silence scared her!

That night, I drank more combo's of alcohol than I can remember, starting with black russians, and moving on to champagne, shooters and shots (hey, it was free!).

That is the last time I was really, really, get sick drunk.

The rain stopped for now, so hopefully we will revert back to our normal weather. We do not do rain well!
