I am hoping someone received a king cake from lawyers we use. Every year, the NO law firm we retain send us a cake at Mardi Gras time. It is just fun to eat!

My daughter's firm (architect/interior design)gets a king cake sent by one of their clients, too. the client is actually located in Virginia, but orders the cake from NO. i was happy to hear about the big crowds in NO this year - a great boon to that city's economy.

I don't know much about the customs of Mardi Gras and never need a reason to eat pancakes, but this is an official eat pancake day??? my kind of stuff!

Tink, in England Mardi Gras is called Shrove Tuesday and pancakes are the food of the day. IHOP has seized on the marketing of this idea and they've declared today "Pancake Day 2009".

Mooney, my mother in law made pancakes for my wife every Pancake Tuesday!

Back in court this afternoon. We will see if a certain party is reasonable and we can settle this matter!

C10 missed his first day of school in years! He will miss the Perfect Attendance Award - he cried about it!
