I don't even want to *THINK* about LA (minus YWIW, Q, Besty), D2!
And please - of course I have a backup outfit. But I wanted to wear these shoes...and I can't, if there's snow on the ground. Not that I walk so gracefully in heels ANYWAY, but still.

Have fun tonight (and thanks for the noted exception).
Work shuts down a bit early today, so only another four or five hours here, and then time to get my place ready for a few friends.
It must be the Jewish mother influence, but I always buy too much for parties.

Yeah. I'm keeping a low profile over here. It doesn't happen often, but when it does..whoa.
I'll be heading out in a couple hours. Until then I'll just keep my head down.

Have a safe and happy, brd. I believe your lawyering services will be needed in a couple weeks.
Happy New Year to you too, Kansas!
Thinking I might just take a lil nap.

Well, deck the damn halls, will ya?
Just got out of therapy, and after an hour, two phone calls, and a bunch of tears (how I'm a burden on my parents, etc...), we have decided that until some of my life is figured out, I should stay here in New York where I'm happy(er). Let the job hunt begin! If/When the surgeries happen, I'll be back in LA for a bit, but until then (or I get a kickass job whoknowswhere), I'll be here, in New York, with my friends and family, and more specifically, NOT my parents.
Q & YWIW - I love you both so dearly. Thank you for making the mere thought that I would be in LA bearable, and your kindnesses and love towards couldn't be more felt and I couldn't be more grateful to you both. And I will be visiting. My parents seem to miss me anyway. And we all know when I'm in LA, the first thing I do is give them hugs and kisses and escape!

Shira - 40 here and still figuring life out.
But good for you to make that decision. Being fully independent (that means financially) is truly good for the soul.
Prolly my last post too ... heading out to the mac store to see what's up with my laptop, then preparing for tonight's festivities. Making my dad's specialty dish - wish me luck!
Love to all the adults, looking forward to another year with all of you and hopefully seeing you in the near future.
