Yep, I am here. It is very quiet, which is good. I can actually get some stuff done!
I wrote some belated Thank You notes, so I'm getting somewhere.
I wanted to ask a question.
Who is Ryan O'Connor and why is he allowed to shill his web show on the Main Board?
Isn't that what you tube and Facebook are for?

Just in case, Brd!

Soooooo . . . last night in Michigan.
So far we've gone through a bottle of Dom, two bottles of some serious Zinfandel, and are working our way through a bottle of scotch (and yes, there's another one waiting, just in case.)
I am SO ready to get back to 70 degree days I could spit.
But it has been wonderful. Completely relaxing, sincerely celebratory, and full of warmth, love and hope for the new year.
*MWAH* to all
Where are all the adults? I hope everyone is enjoying the first weekend of the new year.
Had a great evening last night, getting ready for a quiet day/evening at home with jS watching Dr. Who and making dinner.
Went to Norm's for dinner last night (just this side of disgusting, but my mom's BF wanted liver, and I said if they drove, I would go wherever) and then saw the show. Megan was a hilarious ham (as she was the other time I saw her), and the US for Elphaba was on. Vicki Noon. She has a nice voice, and did a pretty good job. Apparently, Eden is not that into doing the show, and came back for the money as much as anything, so I really don't mind seeing the US. She is also apparently fighting the ebola going around.
My mom and her BF loved the show - and were impressed by the spectacle. They did not love the music, saying there was not a
"singable song there" (they said the same thing about Rent). They then went off on comparing modern musicals to the good old days of Rogers and Hammerstein - I told them they were just old...
It was a nice evening. Megan Hilty is hilarious. Every time I see her, I just shake my head is wonder.
Glad you had a good time, YWIW!
Have a fun time tonight, DD.

Thanks for the cocoa. We stayed up way too late for about the 5th time in the last few weeks, we are all exhausted. The kids return to school on Monday and are not happy!
The job hunt begins on Monday. Eek!

Shira, generally what types of jobs are you seeking?
The kind that pay for Prada.
D2's definitely right, but my rent comes first!
I'm looking in psychology, behavioral clinics, eating disorders, research, etc...
Oh. Theater.
Theater, Prada, Fine Wines. The basics.

My sister in law died from complications of anorexia and many in my extended family are morbidly obese, can we get a group discount?
Once I have my PhD and a practice, absolutely.
So you are going for your PhD, Shira? Good for you!

I would like to take some business classes. They do not teach law firm management in law school.
